Chapter 43

Bruce's POV

 Time Skip... A Few Months Later... 

  

  Liz and I are getting married in a week. At the very last minute, we decided to change the location of our wedding to a beach wedding in the Hamptons. We both love the ocean and don't get to be surrounded by it enough. In addition, Becky (Liz's nurse from the hospital/her friend) has a cousin named Bill who works there and he's giving us a major friends and family discount. It's also summer now so we can all properly enjoy the beach. 

   We decided not to hire a wedding planner unlike most people. As helpful as they can be, Liz and I didn't want any additional stress. Liz is finally better and we don't need Hulk coming out before, after, or during the wedding. Well he could come out before if he wanted, just as long as he isn't pissed while doing so. I can tell he's eager to get out. I told him I'd let him out for an entire day next week. We're leaving two days before our wedding for the Hamptons. I told him that he could spend an entire evening on the beach with Liz. He seemed to like that idea a lot, I can't say I blame the guy. 

    Liz and I are already packing as we speak because we're only going to get busier as it gets closer to leave so why not get a head start on things? We're going to be gone for about a week so we make sure to make enough clothes, essentials, snacks, etc to last that long. I know there are stores, restaurants, etc around if we need anything else but the less we have to spend on additional things, the better. As for our wedding guests, it's going to be the Avengers, Becky, Becky's cousin Bill, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Okoye, Shuri, T'Challa, M'Baku, Nakia, Pepper, Maria Hill, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, and that one relative that Liz is pretty close with. 

    I made sure that Maria Hill didn't send an invite to Fury. I like her okay but I can't stand him. I don't hate many people, but boy do I hate him. I'm just so excited to marry Liz. It feels like we've been waiting forever to get married, though we both agreed to wait until Liz got better. I just love her so much and vice versa. For the first time in my life, I don't doubt my love for her or her love for me. I feel complete. I know she's always going to be there for me, my girl has proved it time and time again. I just don't want to live the rest of my life without being married to her. 

   "Liz, baby, I have a question?" She smirks at me. "Yes Bruce?" I smirk back at her. "Do you still plan on taking my last name when we get married next week?" She pretends to think about it before her facial expression shifts to a softer one. "Absolutely. I want to be Elizabeth Banner for the rest of my life." I blush and gently pull her body towards mine, kissing her passionately. The rest of our packing gets delayed due to a rather intense makeout session that almost causes Hulk to come out earlier than promised. I make sure to catch my breath a bit before helping Liz finish packing. Can next week come any quicker? I've never been so ready for anything in my life.
