I look at myself in the mirror everyday, criticize the flaws. It's a routine I've grown accustomed to.
Look.
Judge.
Repeat.I tell myself ,"Lose weight,", "Get better grades,", "Be popular,"...
But what I didn't tell myself was, it doesn't matter.
We're surrounded by ourselves, literally everyday, every hour, every minute, every second. We set super high standards for what we should be, and a lot of those standards are out of our reach. We think that we have to be perfect for people to like us. We don't. We don't owe anything to anyone, we don't owe them our body, our kindness, or our respect unless we want to give it to them.
Don't degrade yourself trying to be good enough for someone else.
If they can't see your real beauty, then that's because they're blinded from the light that's shining within.
Don't waste your love on someone who's just going to through it away.
