Jenna's P.O.V.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please make sure your seatbelts are tightly fastened. We are arriving at our destination."
Opening my eyes and noticing the magazine laying ajar on top of my lap and my ipod still playing, I realized that I must've fallen asleep. However, I wasn't the only one. Nikki and my mother were both sound asleep on either side of me. I hesitantly shook their shoulders whispering, "Mom! Nikki! Wake up we're here!"
Nikki moaned stubbornly as my mom opened her eyes to look at me. She closed them for another ten seconds, and then sat up, looking pretty rough, to be honest.
Nikki, however, wasn't being as cooperative.
"Five more minutes . . ." she complained.
"Nikki, we don't have five more minutes. We have like two. Now get up before I get off this plane without you."
At that, the plane suddenly thrust forward and started advancing towards the ground. I could see the clouds disappearing from veiw as the figures on the ground below got clearer. Trees, cars, and buildings started getting bigger as we grew closer. Finally, I could see the airport. The flight became slightly bumpier as the wheels began to lower slowly, and after a few seconds, the plane eased onto the runway.
At this, Nikki's eyes flew open and she practically fell out of her seat. "What was that?!"
I laughed at Nikki's expression and said, "I told you we were landing."
"Ugh," was all Nikki said as she straightened up and pushed the hair out of her eyes.
When the plane stopped moving and the doors were opened, I was one of the first ones to get off. I probably pissed a few people off when I pushed through the mob towards the exit, but I was beyond desperate to get off that plane. Hopefully the next plane wouldn't be as tightly packed.
After waiting for my mom and Nikki to catch up with me, I raced to where the next plane was boarding, which was at Gate 16. After Nikki and I said our goodbyes to my mom, I found an empty row of chairs in the waiting area and pulled out my magazines again. I checked my phone to see what time it was and saw that it was almost 9:00. The plane left at 10:00. Great. One more hour to go.
I glanced at my magazine cover and noticed five familiar faces covering the whole page. Of course, it was One Direction.
I loved their music. I wouldn't have necessarily considered myself a crazed fan, but I was definitely a "directioner" nonetheless. I'd been a fan since the video diaries, which was over three years ago. I began to think about how much I'd love to meet them and discover what their true personalities were like. Who knew? They could be completely different from how they claim to act in real life.
I switched the song on my ipod to Everything About You, which was one of my favorite songs of theirs. Nikki noticed this, and quickly jumped up with enthusiasm.
"Oh my gosh. Are you listening to what I think you're listening to?"
I laughed as I took one of the earbuds out of my ears and lent it to her. She began mouthing the words at first, but then started huming the tune, and finally, by the end of the song, she was literally singing the words out loud. In public. With people watching. When the song ended, I immediately started laughing my head off. I probably caused a huge scene, but I didn't really care. Nikki had already taken care of that for me.
Nikki saw me laughing at her, and started laughing too. What could I say? We were like sisters. We laughed at the same things, even if they weren't that funny.
