7. Storm!!!

Flashback cont....

I was looking for her everywhere but there was no sign of her.
Then I went to the security department of the skiing resort and asked them if I could make an announcement.
I announced Sia's name over the microphone multiple times and asked her to come near the security booth.

I waited for her for almost 30 minutes, I was loosing my patience. The police officials were repeatedly telling me to go from there fast, but I was adamant on waiting for her.

At last I hurried outside and decided to look for her by myself.
I was calling her, running here and there and then I heard something.....

"HELP....HELP ME...."

It was a girl's voice and she was shouting for help.
I made my way towards the source of voice but was unable to locate her.

"IS ANYBODY HERE???" I shouted.

"HELP....HELP.....I AM HERE....." again that voice, I don't know if that's her or not but whoever she is I should help her.

I went towards the cliff end and then I saw her........she was there, hanging on a mere ledge and trying with all her strength to climb up.
I sat down on my knees, bended forward and stretched my hand towards her.
She was out of my reach.....but I tried and tried and at last held her hand.

I pulled her towards  myself and helped her in climbing on the edge.
She was tired, panting and fear was clearly visible  on her face.
I helped her to stand and then in a fraction of second, she hugged me.

Her breathing was rapid and she was crying on my shoulders. I soothed her back and tried to calm her down.
After few minutes she composed her self and said a big thank you to me with a hint of smile.

Ohh.....her smile......☺️
Focus.....focus Raghav .....this is not the right time.
And then her sweet smile turned into a frown which was followed by a fearful expression.

"K...Kar....Karthik.....where is Karthik..???" She muttered under her breath.
"KARTHIK.......KARTHIK....." she started shouting.
Before I could explain anything to her, she ran away from my hold in search of his brother.

I ran after her and before she does something stupid, I grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards me. She slammed hard onto my chest.

She jerked and looked to me "Raghav....my brother....where is he..??? Oh my god.....he is so young.....where will he go......he might be in problem.....he might be alone......shit......now how will I find him.....?????" She started blabbering without a pause.

I tried to calm her down, but she was not ready to listen to anything.
Then I cupped her face with my palms and made her to look into my eyes.

"Relax Sia....just calm down.....take a deep breath...." I said to her

But she again started her blabbering " how can I calm down.....my brother is missing and you are saying me to calm down." She snapped at me with a angry look.

"Sia, Karthik is fine, he is with my friends. I send him with them in the car to the hotel before coming here to find you. Okay....so relax." I explained her.

Finally she calmed down and nodded her head.

"We should go from here , the storm can start anytime." I think I just jinxed our situation because as soon as these words left my mouth, heavy snowfall started.
