The window shatters as I take the bat to it again we make our way through carefully so we don't get cut by the shards. Max and I slowly walk into the Main hall of the museum looking around for the Aegis or the shield of Zeus. The full powers of the shield are unknown to any mortal and even to most divine beings but today we had to hurry delta was hot on our trail and hopefully we could use the shields powers to inspire fear throughout delta’s ranks and break through with the shield and bring it back to the bunker.

But things didn't go exactly as planned. We stopped around the corner just before the camera turned, Max got out her computer and hacked into the system and quickly shut off all the cameras. I poked my head out from around the corner to see if anyone was coming “Coast is clear.” I whisper to Max she nods and we slowly move forward. We find the shield and carefully remove it from the case. We both let out a sigh, relieved that no alarms were triggered.

We turned around to leave when I let out a yelp as I ran into Destiny. She looked different than she did when we were younger her red hair now down to her elbows, and her freckles covered perfectly by makeup, her blue eyes icy cold. Max was the first to recover from surprise I snap out of my shock just before Destiney tries to take the shield but I pushed her away from Max. as much as I was supposed to hate her I just couldn’t. Unlike me Max didn’t have a past with her so it wasn’t as hard for her but that couldn’t change anything for me, luckily Max understood that it was hard for me to talk about my past so she always let the subject slide by she knew I couldn’t do it, couldn’t bring myself back.

I snap out of thought just in time as the rest of Destiny's crew comes in and surrounds us. There's not much this time just a small group of four or five but that doesn’t really matter when you count their size. Each one standing 6 feet tall built like machines, giant vicious man-eating machines all but one anyway. The only one that looked friendly was the puny nerdy looking one Ethan. Max’s old tech club rival from high school. They greeted each other with their usual cold smile Ethan's like a madman's and Max's colder than a demons. She turned the shield so it was facing Ethan and a look of pure panic spread across his face. The shield had worked and claimed its first victim. Ethan stood there frozen in fear. He hit the floor tears streaking his face. Max turned the shield away just as Ethan past out cold. Max aimed the shield at the others and they flinched as it spun in their direction the only person that seemed immune to it was Destiny.

She showed no fear, no sheer panic in her look what so ever. She walked right up to Max and I could see just how much hate they had for each other. By this time all of Destiny's crew were on the ground so Max aimed the shield at Destiny but nothing happened. She elbowed Max in the face and she was out like a light. Destiny took the shield from Max's collapsed form and walked right up to me. I back away slowly to try to avoid any fighting. But as I look over at Max, pure hate burns through me. I meet Destiney on the battlefield.

She punches me so hard I fall to the ground. I get back up before any more damage can be done she gives me a smile that used to be loving and motherly but is now cruel and demonic. I try to give her the same look but I'm sure I look more like a startled little kid instead. I throw a punch in her direction but fail to succeed as she grabs hold of my arm and swings me until i'm dizzy and lets go, the same thing we use to do when we were younger. It was a childish thing to do for a 10 year old but that didn’t matter to us. We only had each other. My family moved away without me and Destiny's had died in a fire.

I break away from my memory to find that I am flying fast at a wall. I brace myself for impact and I hit the wall just in time to see Max getting up and walking towards Destiny. Then it all went black.
