Starvation

I see children in the pictures,

begging for food, yet barely receiving scraps.

Their ribs jutting far out of their skin,

Arms and legs as skinny as branches,

twigs if you may.

Poverty is rising,

Yet what are we doing...?

Are we making a difference?

Are we helping those with lesser fortune than us?

29% of the worlds children live under the poverty line.

One dies every three seconds.

These kids are younger than fifteen,

Yet the people that can help are never keen,

Do what we can now,

these kids could be ours one day...
