Orbit (Poem)

Pretty self-explanatory. Apologies for not posting recently, I've just found other things to do.

You think you know someone,

Until you don't.

One day they'll promise to stay at your side,

And the next you're all alone.

They have been lying to you all along, you see,

Because they were never going to keep being friends with a freak,

It's easier to just blame everything on them,

Rather than just accepting that it was all of you.

You might not have listened,

But that's because they didn't know and they never will,

They can go back to her,

And turn on you,

But you know better.

Next year will be different,

That is a promise,

Forgotting them will not be easy (those ones who betrayed you and were too afraid to say so),

Because it is you who bears the brunt of what they've done.

You are the one who wonders what it is you did,

What it is you said to change everything,

It is you who wanted to die and not bother anymore,

When everyone (those friends) left you.

You will not be haunted by them anymore,

Even if you still go to the same school,

They have their world,

And you have yours.

You orbit them no more.
