Her eyes sparkled in the moonlight. They were the prettiest eyes I've ever seen. Too bad they would be gone soon.

"I'm sorry I had to do this, Kookie," she whispered, "I didn't want it to end like this"

My eyes shone with tears. But deep down, I was happy.

You see, we were the sun and the moon. We were never meant to be together.

If we were together, things wouldn't work. The birds wouldn't sing, and the trees wouldn't grow.

We were beautiful, but only apart.

I leaned in and planted a soft kiss on her lips.

"Goodbye," I murmured. Our tears mixed and created a salty mess. "I'll see you in the next life."

I extended my wings and jumped out the window of the rusty shack we were in. The air whipped my face.

"I'll see you in the next life"
