"Jason , don't do it" i whispered and i could feel his heart threatening to pop out of his chest , he was panting and blood was found under his nose and his jaw was bruised
"don't" i cried and squeezed his shoulder , his grip on his gun soften and he tilted it away from Mason's face and placed it back in his back pocket
"you're lucky she was here Collins" he said taking me in his arms

I heard the water running meaning , she already hopped into the shower , how can i let her out of my sight ? i should've protected her from that pervert , did he even lay a finger on her ? was i too late ? i couldn't forgive myself knowing i dragged her into my shitty life that she doesn't deserve , i sigh and run my fingers through my hair making it messy
suddenly i heard soft sobs coming from her bathroom , meaning she was crying inside , i should go and comfort her , but what if she needs some time alone ? i'll just wait for her and give her space , what happened today was something that'll haunt her for the rest of her life
minutes later the door was opened revealing her in just a towel and when she saw me staring she blushed , she got clothes out of her drawer and she got back inside to change
she was out in a matter of seconds looking beautiful as always , her eyes puffy and red from crying earlier , i took her into my arms and with no warning she started crying again and i felt chest pains because i was hurt to see her that way

"i love you" i said making her face hide in my chest
