Element Enchantress : Forbidden Love

Camp

As Nina explained about training times and other boring stuff I got a chance to look around the camp. All around me there were teenagers just like me milling around, on their phones, laughing and chatting to their friends. I also see small cabins dotted among the trees. I thought it just looked like an ordinary summer camp for teens until we rounded a muddy trail corner and I saw a big open field. I only realised I had stopped walking when Nina tugged on my arm. It looked like it was divided into four sections.  One had lots of small fires dotted around the place, another had steam rising from the ground.  On the other side of the field there were small buckets of water everywhere and finally lots of plants, ranging from flowers to thorns. I was very confused.

"Come on Clara, we need to see your special element!" She exclaimed

She tugged me over to the buckets and grabbed my hand. Then she got out a small pocket knife and sliced open my hand.

"Owww!" I shouted.

"Put your hand in the bucket!" She instructed me. I did as I was told and then my hand started tingling. I looked into the bucket and saw my hand was nearly healed. I yanked it out of the bucket and saw my hand was half healed.

"Well that was easy! You will start water training tomorrow at 7!" Nina said and started to walk away. I started to follow but because I was looking at my hand I tripped. I fell onto my knees my hands pressing into the dirt. I looked down and my hand started to tingle again. As I looked grass and vines started to grow around my cut hand and held me in place.

"Uh, Nina? Nina!" I shouted. Nini started to run towards me. She gasped when she saw my hand. After about a minute the plants started to shrink away and I was left with pretty ivy wrapped around my fingers right down to my elbows.

"How did you do that?" Nina asked me. Her face was full of confusion. "Come here!" She said. I walked over to her and she yanked away the ivy to reveal my pale freckly arm, and my hand.  She pulled out her knife again and made a cut in both hands. Pain glided up my arms as blood dripped onto the mossy floor. She still had hold of my hand and dragged me over to the steam. She put my one hand above the steam and held it there. The tingling came back. Steam swirled around my hand and when I pulled my hand away there was, what looked like, condensation covering my hand. I waved my other hand over it and the mist cleared, my hand had no cut. I looked over to the last segment and planted my feet to the ground.

"I am not sticking my hand into fire," I told Nina mustering up all of the authority I could find in my body. She smiled a perfect white smile and me and pulled me over to the fire.

"No! NO! NO!" I shouted. Nina didn't listen and pulled my hand into the cherry red flames. I was in my bedroom again as the fire ripped me apart. I looked away from the fire and saw the water bucket. I imagined the water lifting up into the air and to my surprise it did. I lifted my hand up and thrust it towards the fire. The water followed. The fire died sizzling and spitting as the flames grew small. Everyone stared at me and I stared at me hand. There were ashes covering my hand like a dark smokey glove. I wiped my hand and there was no cut. I looked up.

"What does this mean?" I say, my voice was small and I sounded worried.

"This child," Nina said, looking up at me, her icy blue eyes were piercing,  "this means, that you are a Element Enchantress, and you have powers stronger than 10 half-bloods put together. You are a pure blood," and with that she turned and walked away. I stood there next to a put out fire and a load of teens gawping at me.

"Urrrgghggg!" I shouted.  A small fire erupted in the place of the old one. I sat down and stared at it for what felt like hours. I just stared at the flames and wished the ground would swallow me up. No don't think that! If I can start fires who knows what I can do! I was startled out of my daydream when a small girl came and plonked down next to my and gave me two sharp taps on my shoulder. I turned to look at her. She was medium sized with pretty blue eyes and long brown/black hair with electric blue tips. She had a small nose and full lips.

"Hi my name is Mani but my friends call me manz, nice to meet you!" She said, smiling. I smiled back.

"um hi im Clara, and my friend used to call me Clar," I said weakly. I sounded pathetic!

"Well you will need a place to sleep and lucky enough for you,  one of my old roomies graduated and left so I have a space in my cabin!" She sounded really excited and as she got up I thought I should use this as an opportunity to make a friend. I smiled and got up after her.

"Wow! That was truly amazing what you did back there! A newby hardly ever can do something like controlling water on their first day! And I have never seen Nins that mad before in my time here!" She said, she laughed once she had finished.

"Well it wasn't really my first time doing that. I blew up a water fountain and set my bullies locker on fire once, and yesterday I made it rain because I was really mad!" I told Mani

"Well here we are! Home sweet home!" She exclaimed. We were outside a faded blue little cabin with ivy growing up the wooden walls. It looked small from the outside but as soon as Mani opened that door I realised I was wrong. When you walked in there was a small hall and I coat stand covered in leather jackets and woolen winter coats. I hung mine up and dropped my bag. As we walked on there were 3 doors to my right and one to my left. Mani directed me into the left room and when we entered I saw a small sofa with a coffee table covered in vogue magazine. in the far corner was a small kitchen with a sink and a stove and a few cupboards.

"Mimz! Come here! I have found a new roomie to replace Angie! She is MUCH more fun!" Mani shouted

Then another girl entered the room. My eyes were drawn to her hair which was just past her shoulders and really curly. It was a dark caramel colour that complimented her green and brown eyes. She was tall with long legs and a pretty figure.

"Hi, my name is Mimi. I need name, age and what element you specialise in," she said

"Um my name is Clara, I am 14 in about 4 days and I did my test today and I um, I kinda specialise in them all," I said not looking at her.

"Yeah I saw! All of the elements can heal her! She is pure blood!" Mani said while jumping up and down

"Well pureblood,  welcome to our family!" Mimi said, I smile creeping onto her pink glossy lips.

Mani showed me my room. It was MASSIVE! I had only seen the front of the house. My room had a double bed, a desk, a big wardrobe and my own bathroom. It was perfect! I was sure I was going to like it here.
