Niamh's mum died six years ago when she was just eleven, after that Niamh swore to herself that she wouldn't let anything stop her protecting her family. Forcing the great responsibility on herself also forces her to remember back to that day even six years on forming a hole in her heart. A hole in which a mother should lay, where a mother should hold her child, where Niamh had lost a chunk of love.

Although working in a coffee shop on the outskirts of town proves to have it's advantages when someone happens to stumble upon it. Someone who after crowds of dreary faces and cold attitudes seems to lighten up the place with simply their presence. They can see into Niamh like no one has before, and after a while Niamh realises that she didn't need a mother figure, she just needed somebody to love her in the way she should be loved.
