Gregor and the rest of them sped up their walking to running. They were following the sound, but there were so many tunnels. "Scream again!" Luxa yelled, "Help! I am over here!" she shrieked. It took only about three more tunnels to get to her.

When they reached Sara, she was bloody, and Mason was holding a knife to her throat. She had lost all her weapons somehow, and had nothing. "Wait! If you want it to be quicker, go for my heart or brain." Sara said, looking at the knife. Gregor thought about hurting or killing Mason, but he decided against it. He saw what Sara was doing. "I want it to be slower." Mason said, still not killing her. "If you want to get my throat, go ahead. But it will only take some seconds. If you want it to really hurt, aim for my leg or my stomach. It would take days, and it would hurt very much. And before you do that, do not forget Aidyn! He would be my age now, would he not? What would he say if you killed a good friend of his?" Sara asked. Gregor had no idea what she was talking about, but he listened. Mason's face softened a little, but hardened again. "What will I care? You cannot be his friend if he is dead!" Mason snapped. "Um, no, not physically. But mentally and, um, I do not know. Kill me now." Sara said softly. Mason quickly cut her leg, and Sara wailed with pain. Then Mason and Avanna, the only two left, ran away.

"How deep is it?" Milaya asked Sara. "I do not know, rather deep. Ooh! And it hurts so much!" Sara whined. Milaya looked in her pack, there was nothing left but a needle and bandages and dried meat. "Oh no. There is not much left. We need to get someone in here.'' Milaya whispered, gently laying bandages on Sara's leg. "How about myself and Kenton go look for someone, or a way out. You guys stay here. We have a good sense of direction." Deraina told them, "I do not, I have a bad memory." Milaya said. "Okay. Leave a trail or something. So you can get back." Gregor told them, "Yes." Kenton told him.

They left for what seemed like days, but was only a lot of hours. Gregor could hear them coming back. He could hear their voices and footsteps. "We are here. We are here." Gregor heard Vikus say, breaking the silence. No one said anything since Deraina and Kenton left. All the fliers came in, not wounded very bad, and the hummans as well. They had a few cuts and bruises, Mareth had a black eye, but nothing was compared to Luxa, Sara, and Gregor's wounds. "Oh! Are you all alright?" Howard asked, "Does it look like they are alright?" Stellovet asked sarcastically. "How many are dead?" Mareth asked. "Um, fifteen." Gregor told him. "Good. We should leave, the spinners have retreated for now. We all must get back, we are all wounded." Howard said, Gregor took a second look at them, underneath Mareth's black eye, there was a cut with a stream of blood pouring out and he also had a cut in his arm, and was bruised up. Vikus's entire right side of his face was bruised, and just below his neck was a deep cut. Stellovet and Howard both had bruises in a lot of places, but Stellovet had blood pouring down her forehead. Howard had a wound on his ankle. Marco and Alexea weren't hurt as much as everyone else, but they both had some injuries. Lastly, the tip of Ripred's tail was cut off somehow, and he had a small scratch in his belly, and on his head. "Yeah, let's go. Do you know the way out?" Greggor asked, "I have some sense of it, yes." Vikus said. They lifted Sara on her bond, Irena, and Gregor got on Axis, the bat he was instructed to fly on, then they left.

They had to take the boat again. Gregor hated boats, since the last two times he has been on a boat. Both times he was attacked by some creature.

When the boat ride was over, Gregor felt a huge amount of relief, he hated boats. But now they had  to fly now. It wasn't as bad as the boat though. It would take days of flying, but he would get to go home.
