I woke up to the sound of my brother's band. Stupid, stupid, stupid! I got out of bed and went downstairs to the garage quickly. "Do you have to practice at eight in the morning, Tanner?" I yelled over the noise. He nodded his head still playing the guitar. I groaned in annoyance and stalked over to the electrical box. Tanner stopped playing and glares at me. "You wouldn't." He said. I smirked, "Yes, I would." I began to leave the garage when someone grabbed my wrist. "Hey, uh, Ryan." Nate said shyly. He was so adorable. "Yes?" I asked. "Do you maybe want to-" He was interrupted by my mom. "Ryan, get your butt upstairs and get ready for school." She yelled.
I rolled my eyes and walked back to my room. I got dressed into my favorite outfit consisting of my mint colored high waisted shorts, coral colored tank, pearl jewelry, and white flats. I straightened my brunette hair and applied make up to my face. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. "Bye Mom, love you!" I said grabbing an apple and heading out the door. "Bye sweetheart!" She called after me. I climbed onto the faded yellow bus that was waiting for me. The boys were chanting about some weird thing while the girls were talking about their summer. I looked around for Maria but she wasn't on the bus. I sighed sitting in our seat. I got out my headphones and phone to shut the world out with music.
We arrived at school shortly after. I got off the bus in one piece, thankfully. I looked around for Maria but there was still no sign of her. I gave up and went to my locker.

The first day of senior year was finally over! I smiled but frowned again remembering Maria wasn't there with me. I decided to call her. I dialed her number and it went straight to voicemail. Huh, that's strange. I lay down on my bed and waited. No call. I waited some more then my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID. It was an unknown number. I answered it cautiously. "Hello?"
