Avery's POV

I walked into Claire's house greeted by her dog, Mandy. Her wet slobbery tounge licked all around my face and I smiled at Mandy. I pet her head and went upstairs to Claire's faded blue room. It had alternative pictures taped on her walls with lights streamed above them.

Suddenly, Claire's head popped out with her blonde hair between her eyes. She scared me a litte but I didn't mind she does it all the time.

*Flashback*

I walked inside Claire's house and took a bag of pretzels out of her pantry and began eating them one by one. I walked over to her living room and took a seat on her brown leather chair. "CLAIRE!" I yelled. No answer.

"AHH!" I screamed throwing the bag of pretzels in the air causing them to everywhere. "Screw you!" I said. "Sorry, Avs." she apologized. I forgave her and then we began to laugh at the mess we made.

*End of Flashback*

"Where's Ky?" I wondered. "She's in the bathroom." Claire said while sitting on her bed. Just then as on cue, Kylie walked in the room. "Hey, Avs!" she said with a bright smile. I waved. My best friends are absolutely gorgeous then look at me.

"Guys, I have something to tell you." I was so happy to talk about 'him'. ''What?" They both asked. "Jinx!" "GUYS, STOP!" I screamed and they put there attention on me. "I bumped in to this really cute boy this morning on my way to math and after school we walked home together then he gave me his number!!!" I said jumping up and down. They started saying things like "Congrats!" "I'm jealous!". "He makes me feel so grand, you know what I mean?" They both shook there head. Claire has a boyfriend named, Noah. They were voted best couple of the year in the yearbook by student council. Once they break up, the whole school would be complete chaos. So I was kinda confused why she shook her head.

I took a seat next to Claire and asked "What's wrong, hun?" starting to rub her back as she said...

Claire' POV

*Flashback*

I asked him 'What's wrong?' and he said 'Nothing babe.' We began to start walking again. I said "Hey babe, I'm gonna go get us some slices of pizza." I came back to find him looking at Tori's butt. Tori Monet was the sluttiest girl in school. I stormed off hearing him yelling my name in the back as it slowly fades away.

Avery's POV

I felt bad for Claire. It was sad to her like this. She was always happy and cheery.

"You should break up with that jerk." I said to her. She showed me a weak smile. I looked at Kylie nodding my head to Claire's back. Kylie started to rub her back cause my hand was getting tired. Claire strated crying and I went to go get some tissues in her bathroom.

The rest of the night we watched The Notebook while eating chocolate ice cream until Kylie and I had to leave. We hugged and Ky and I walked out the Claire's door. We turned our separate ways. I walk down to my house hearing Claire's faint crying in my head.
