Meela sat in her tiny, yet comfortable, room. She took a sip of hot cocoa as she looked outside, the sky going from blue to an ombre of orange, pink and purple. She smiled, watching as the changing leafs softly fluttered to the hard ground like butterflies.
The small cat's peace was interrupted by the sound of a small, muffled thud. Worried, she walked out into the hall way, her heart pounding in her chest. She looked around and gave a small sigh of relief when she noticed that only a small pumpkin ortament had fell from the side table. She picked it up and put it back in its place, not noticing the barely visible figure behind her, silently watching from another world.
She walked back into her room, shutting the door behind her. She looked at her clock. 7:30 pm it said in bright green font. She plopped down onto her bed, tired from staying up late studying. She let sleep wash over her as she laid in her bed.
A loud crash awoke Meela with a start "What the hell..?" She muttered, her voice quiet and unused. She pushed up with her arms and stayed in the position for a second before standing. Meela jumped when she heard another crash and a few unaudible words. Meela walked towards the door, that same scared sensation stirring inside her again. She slowly opened the door, the suspense making her uneasy. She glanced outside into the hall way and seen something run past the door. She gasped and slammed the wooden door. 'HOLYSHITHOLYSHIT!' She said in her mind. "Please," she said aloud "Don't tell me I'm going crazy.." She took a deep breath and looked at the closet. She knew she had a baseball bat in there but she was unsure if she should move away from the door. She held her breath when she heard someone-or something.
