There was a prince searching for his one true love. He had already turned eighteen, so he was getting pressured to get married by his parents; the king and queen

He was very popular, and everyone knew him. Of course, this gave him benefits, he was treated differently and not in a bad way. He was privileged since the day he was born.

The one thing he had kept a secret from his parents and the whole kingdom, was the he slept with a peasant boy on his fifteenth birthday. He had told his parents that he was going for a horse ride, but he was actually going to go meet Nolan at his cottage in the hillside.

Nolan had changed his perspective of life completely. Sadly, Nolan had gotten the plague and passed away quickly. That was the toughest time for Prince Charles, because him and Nolan loved each other.

Charles has had some female partners, but none of them compared to Nolan. He missed Nolan dearly, and thought that he would never love again. Of course that changed when he met the new stable boy.

Theodore was a sixteen-year-old orphan peasant. He was always so quiet and very interested with the horses. He was also very kind, once Charles caught him getting scarred by a roach but didn't even kill it, he trapped it in a bucket and set it free outside of the stables. That proves that he wouldn't even hurt a fly.

Charles would describe Theodore's smile "as bright as the sun". Charles kept a small diary in his room which all the entries were about Theodore. One entry read:

"Dear diary,                                                    October 21st

Its finally getting colder which means I get to see Theodore in his winter apparel, of course I know he has no family to support him nor a safe amount of silver but if he does need anything I'll provide it for him in an instant. Today I went out to the stables to bring him a warm chocolate drink. I had called him by his last name, and I guess he doesn't like it because he told me to call him 'Theo' which by the way is an adorable nickname..."

This goes on for pages, mainly because Charles was head over heals for Theodore.

On October 30th, Charles was invited to a royal costume party. He was planning to take Theo as his plus one. He had planned this in his head for over a week, when he first heard about the party.

He knew Theo wouldn't have a costume, so he decided to get one for him. To know what costume Theo would like, he went to the stables to go ask him.

It was also very windy, so Charles did something only a gentleman would do. He brought one of his own coats to Theo. The walk to the stables was very quick and easy.

"Hey theo, are you cold?"

Of course Theo was too interested with the horses that he didnt even notice that the prince was speaking to him.

"Theo...?"

"oh uh.. sorry.. i was cleaning the horses stall, sorry.. i didn't hear you" Theodore would get very nervous in the princes presence.

" aha, no its fine! I just came to give you this and ask you a question. If you were invited to a costume party, what costume would you wear?"

As Charles was asking his question he handed Theo his coat.

"This is for me? are you sure?"

"yes Theo, I'm sure! so what do you say?"

"thank you your highness, and I honestly don't like dressing up nor do I like going to social events."

"once again Theo, please call me Charles"
