I enter the bedroom, spotting my boyfriend on the bed. The pups sits soundly in their bed, all releasing gentle snores. He looks up at me from the pages of his book, his eyes, for once, unreadable.

"We need to talk," I say. "I saw Mosea today." He jolts up quickly, clearing the room with a quickness rarely seen from somebody his size.

"Did she hurt you," He questions, that same look of uncertainty on his face as the when she nearly killed our daughter. Not many things can prompt this look and the fact that she can stir this kind of emotion in him angers me. So damn much.

"Neither of us could attack. Otherwise, we'd be having a totally different conversation." He steps back, holding his breath as he dives deep into his thoughts, trying to figure out if he even wants to speak again.

"What did she want," He asks after a moment.

"She came to warn me that the life we've built in the last year is about to come crashing down." The bitterness in my words triggers a switch in Killian instantly. hIs demeanor changing as a whole from my boyfriend over to a Father and Alpha.

"We hae to find her, Jamie. She's too dangerous to be kept alive." I sigh.

"I know, Killian, but something changed about her." He raises an eyebrow in confusion. "When she walked up to me, I could feel myself getting weaker from her presence."

"What?"

"Exactly. Her powers have adanced. Far beyond what we once dealt with." My eyes train on our pups, still sleeping peacefully. Sheltered away from the pain and horror of our lives. "I'm scared, Killian."

"Mi amor, we can't allow her to mess with our heads. This is exactly what she wants. For us to be divided and confused." He takes my hands into his, stepping closer to me. I look up to him, spotting the light sheen of tears in his eyes. "She won't hurt you and she sure as hell won't hurt our pups. I will die before she lays another finger on either of you."

"That's what worries me. She isn't afraid to kill any of us. And we know she will not throw away that chance."

"J-" a loud bang causes us to jerk our attention to the window. The pups jolt awake from the noise, now howling in distress. We tend to our babies, my focus on them, but partially on the window aswell.

Our door opens, Cartrite standing in the doorway with a troubled expression.

"Jamie, you might want to come see this," He says.

"I'll be back, Pups. Stay close to Papa." I leave a lingering kiss on their heads before, I follow my Uncle out. "What happened?" He looks to me, nothing on his face giving me a hint.

We go around the house to where Killian and I's bedroom is. I look at the glass, a slight crack in it. Then, I look down, my breath catching in my throat.

The corpse of a Raven lies in the dirt. It's neck snapped from the impact.

"A Raven," Cartrite begins, "this is an omen, Jamie."

"I know, Uncle," I speak, my voice wavering, barely audible. "Mosea sent this our way. Another warning."

"Jamie, I can lead some of the Omegas out to find her," He offers.

"No. She won't let us find her until she's ready for it." He groans, his breathing heavy. He knows just as much as I do what a Raven represents. And if this is any indication for things to come, we're gonna need everybody here.

"Jamie, my sons are here aswell as your children. We have to protect them."

"The only way to keep them safe is to get them out of  The Strip." I take a shaky breath. Our only option is one that I've kept reserved out of fear for their lives. "We have to send them to the Homeland."
