Wonder And Awe

I wander near the sea

Fumbling with the laces

I kick off my shoes

Allowing the waves to tickle

My feet as they lap ashore.

The warm summer sun settles softly

To rest behind the loftly suburbs.

Silence except for the sea

As deep as my breathing

I allow my ears to listen into silence.

As the sun comes to set behind the clouds

And night begins to fall I watch from

A distance at the wonder of creation

In a world so full of sorrow.

A world so full of hate.
