VICTORIA'S P.O.V:

I groaned, joining the rest of the girls flopped on the mats. Alya laughed at me, so I stuck my tongue out at her, not caring that I was acting childish. "Your the one with the least amount of bruises, Missy, so in no way can you complain!" Victoria growled playfully at me. I grinned at her. "That's debatable." I responded. "I fought all of you, remember?" V just laughed. "You know what we need?" Hailee asked. "No, what?" we all responded. "We need some time in our elements." Hailee exclaimed. "That would heal us all right up!" I thought it over. "That's fair. We still have some time before the sun sets, and I'd rather you all not be forced to drop out of this group because your parents hate me for being so relentless with you on the mats, so much so that you can't move in the morning because your so sore." I pointed out. Alya laughed. "They couldn't force us out even if they wanted to!" she said. "We'd sneak back every day!" "Dang right we would!" Victoria laughed.

I sat up and stretched. "Then it's decided. We'll all break off to spend some time in our elements before heading home and getting some rest, then coming back here same time tomorrow, OK?" I said, my tone of voice leaving no room for argument.

They all groaned at me, but got up and started heading over to grab their backs nevertheless.  I stood and stretched, then grabbed my own bag, and, after saying goodbye to all the girls at the gym doors, I headed to the one spot I knew that I could forget all of my worries and finally be free, for a little while anyway.

AUTHOR'S P.O.V:

Hi! So for those of you a bit confused, let me enlighten you a bit, lol. So in this story, the characters live in a world where everyone is a dragon. It is very much like werewolf standards, they have mates, their dragon is a part of them, but also can have a very different personality. I'm not explaining this very well am I? Ok, let me start over.

Everyone is a dragon. They all have a dragon being inside of them. Each dragon has an element, and they can train and harness that element, to where they can control either water, air, earth, or fire. Some dragons are more powerful than others as well. (As you will soon find out hehe)

So, about the mates. Again, very much like werewolf standards. They usually have one destined soulmate that will be there with them forever. (Emphasis on the usually) Also, if your wondering why their so much like werewolfs, well, in my story, dragons were there LONG before werewolfs were. And the dragons believe that their deity, the Moon Goddess, created the werewolfs to be just like the dragons because she wanted basically a less powerful version of the dragons to ride by her side. Again, this is only in my story.

So, if you have any other questions about anything, please don't hesitate to either leave a comment or message me! Ok I'm sure I'm boring the crud out of y'all, so I'm going to shut up now and get on with the story.

VALERIA'S P.O.V:

I slipped through the forest, darting between the trees silently. The forest finally opened up to a small lake. It's not very big, and it is in a very remote and  secluded area, meaning I had total privacy. I simply stood there for a moment, reveling in the sight before me. The lake is clearer than most forest lakes, and at the moment, it was a beautiful blue, as it reflected the crystal clear sky above. The trees that surrounded it were all different shades of green, and all the animals of the day were singing as loud as they could for all to hear.

I shook myself out of my reverie, before abandoning my bag on the beach and diving straight into the water. I swam smoothly, diving to the deepest part of the lake. I held my breath of air for as long as I could before taking my first breath of water. I simply floated there for a while, surrounded by my element, feeling it call out to me, feeling it wrap me in it's embrace, with the promise to never let go. Eventually, I broke out of my floating calmness, swimming to the surface.

I stood on the water, (Yes "stood", I simply asked the water to support me, and it did) and took a deep breath, closing my eyes and just standing there for a moment, feeling the way the beads of water slid down every part of my skin until it rejoined it's brethren in the lake. Athena and I sighed together,  both of us completely content and relaxed. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Athena said to me with a playful smirk . I returned her smirk with one of my own. Well, considering your're inside my head, I'm going to go ahead and say yes.

Well then, let's dance! Athena cried. I grinned. And I did exactly that. My favorite style of dance is a mix of ballet and modern and just completely improv dancing. I danced to the music of every little creature that had come out to say their piece, I danced to the beat of my heart, to the swishing of the water as it moved under my feet. And for once, I let myself go. I poured everything I had into my dance. I poured my train wreck of emotions about Liam into the dance, I poured every single emotion I had into this dance. And for once, as dramatic as this sounds:

I was free.
