The Forbidden Zodiac

Chapter 1

This is how I imagine the main character looks like, but you can see how ever you want this just how I see her. This photo is not mine it came from Google so just know that and it will be the same for all the other photos.

I walk through the misty, dark forest as the wind howls around me. I feel the crows caw and stare at me with their beady eyes, judging my every movement. Slowly making my way through the thick trees, I come to a stop finding a lake as clear as a glass of water. Feeling entranced, I stumble beside the lake, looking into the glassy water. I saw the most glorious man in the lake, he was like a sculpture.

Suddenly, the boy starts to rise from the water as he does he gives me the most entrancing look that could even pull in the tuffest man to his knees. He grasps his warm hand into mine and lifts it to his waiting mouth.

"Until we meet again my rose..."

I hear the annoying alarm robust to life as I lift my sweaty body up from my wet bed. What was that dream, and who the heck was that man in the lake? Shaking my head, I clear my thoughts, not ready for the day ahead of me because as everyone knows today is my birthday, and I'm officially seventeen. I'm not prepared for the day because my training starts today for an advisor, as will everyone who is Capricorn.

"Griselda, Dumplin'! Can you come down? We have an engaging day for us!" My mother calls out to me as I slowly slither out of bed onto the floor. I walk towards my closest as my maid scatters across the floor towards me.

"Sorry I'm late mistress, I was occupied with helping the young master down stairs with his clothes." She explains to me, her eyes as big as saucers because she was scared I was mad at her. I smile at her gently, knowing that since she was a Cancer her one and only goal was to please me.

"No it's okay, if someone else required your assistance then please help them, I'm quite sure I can handle myself for at least a little bit." The maid smiles at me with relief in her eyes.

"Thank you very much mistress! Now what do you desire to wear?" She asks excitedly holding up multiple dresses at a time. None of them captured my attention, but then she holds up one that I haven't noticed before.

My rose...

He's voice comes back to my mind as I  glance at the dress.

"Excuse me but what about that one?" I ask her pointing to a blue silk dress that had unique designs that resemble red roses, on it.

"Oh, this one mistress? I saw it at the market while your parents sent me to fetch you new stuff, and I knew you would love it so I bought it. Do you wish to wear it mistress?" She asks me, holding it up to me. I nod my head and her eyes light up with joy. She helps me change into it, then follows me downstairs toward the kitchen, where the chefs were cooking.

My mother sees me as I walk into the kitchen, and she walks over to hug me.

"Dumplin' I'm so excited for you! It's your first day of advisor training! I can already tell you're going to change everything!" She gleams at me as she makes a hand gestures to the servants to set my plate out. The servants rush over to me waiting for me to order them.

I explain exactly what I want for my meal as they copy down the order. My personal maid, that helped me upstairs, asks if she may do another to please me, and I simply shake my head.

To be honest, I never really liked the idea of servants, but I don't have a choice in the matter, this is the way things have always been. Leo are the royalty, Libra are the fashionist, models, singers, Capricorn are the advisors or war planners, Aquarius are the artists, Scorpio are the doctors, Pisces are the writers or story tellers, Aries are the royal guards, Sagittarius are the teachers, Virgo are the knowledge holders, Gemini are the performers, Taurus are the soldiers, and Cancer are servants and that's the exact order your cast is in.

What's even worst is that your cast is based of the month you were born in, for instance say I was born in March before the twenty, then I would be a Pisces. It wouldn't even matter if your father or mother was a Leo, you would be taken out of their home and placed with Pisces, that's just how things work.

Also you can only fall in love with the Zodiacs that your compatible with or the group your in, so I can only marry a guy that's in Virgo, Pisces, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Taurus, but since my cast is so high I can actually only marry Scorpio, Pisces, Capricorn, and Virgo, but that's just how things are set so why bother changing them.

My plate is set in front of me, filled with all the proportions I need. Slowly, I eat my fill and stand up.

"Mistress are you ready to head to training? The limo is waiting outside." My maid asks me politely. With a simple shake of yes, we head out the door with my maid carrying my bags.

Walking towards the long, gleaming black car, my maid opens the door for me to sit down. When I'm in she closes the door with as much gentlness as she can manage while holding my bags.

After placing my belongings in the trunk, she sets herself in the seat beside me as we head off to training, in other words school. Training is just another version of school except we only study what our job is,not to mention we also have to live there until we're done with our training. We go with all the other Zodiacs, but we're only suppose to socialize with the ones were compatible with or higher ranks if they talk to us.

I truly hope I turn out to be what my parents hope me to be because that's the one thing I wish to do is to please me parents, and if that means to be the best advisor and change the world, that's what I'll do!

I close my eyes resting my head against the window.

Until we meet again my rose...

My head snapped up as I recall the man from my dreams. Who is this guy that's in my dreams, but most of all why am I dreaming about a guy I've never meet before? My head races with thoughts as I keep recalling how he held is warm mouth to my cold hands and pressed a kiss to them, one I'll surely never forget.
