Natasha's POV
I set down my transfer forms on the front desk and waited patiently for the lady at the front desk to look through my information and search through the database on her computer. Finally, she printed out my schedule and handed it to me with a brief smile, and I was off. I checked my first class and walked to Mr. Selvig's physics classroom for homeroom. I was a little late due to the slow process in the front office, but I had twenty minutes of homeroom time left before class officially started. I knocked on the door and a girl with dark brown hair answered. She blew her bangs out of her eyes and stepped aside so I could walk in, smiling brightly. "You're the new girl?"
I nodded. "I'm Natasha."
"Come sit next to me, Sharon isn't here yet, thank God, so you can take her seat while I explain how this entire school works in like, ten minutes," She grabbed my hand and led me to a table. There were two columns of tables, one against the right side of the room and one column on the left. She dragged me to the very back table on the right side and sat me down. "I'm Maria by the way." I shook her hand and smiled, looking around at the other girls who had stopped talking, turning to greet me. "Hey, it's the new girl!"
"I love your eyes!" A strawberry-blonde haired girl smiled.
"Eye color doesn't really matter," Another scolded the strawberry-blonde haired girl. "Yours are still nice, though." The light-brown/blonde haired girl shrugged, still smiling nicely.
"And your hair! You sure look gorgeous," A ginger haired girl sighed.
"Thanks," I smiled. "I'm Natasha."
The strawberry-blonde began, "I'm Virginia, but everyone calls me Pepper. Her over there with the blondish hair is Carol. The ginger's Wanda."
Wanda nodded. "We can let you know all the important stuff, like who to avoid."
"Hopefully I'm able to judge that for myself, but any advice would be helpful," I answered honestly.
"Perfect." Maria sat up in her seat. "Barnes!"
A boy who sat at the table in front of us turned around. "What's up, Hill? Woah! Who's this?"
"Natasha, James Barnes." Pepper pointed from the shaggy haired boy to me.
"It's Bucky." The boy corrected, smiling a bright playful grin. "So, Natasha, you're new around here?"
I nodded and Maria continued, "So when's everyone else arriving?"
"Steve is gonna be here in two minutes with Sharon. Tony and Sam just came," He nodded towards the door.
"So, that's basically the whole 'cool kid crew.'" Carol said. "Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, Tony Stark, and Steve Rogers. We kinda just throw Sharon Carter in there because she's obsessed with Steve so she always tags along."
"To break it down a little further, Sam is the sporty one. He's Carol's competition in volleyball." Wanda pointed at a dark skinned boy who was getting his books out of his bag and had yet to notice me.
"The one you talked to, James? He mainly goes by Bucky, and he's the junior year ladies' man. He's actually been hitting on girls since freshman year, but he kinda peaked this year," Maria continued. "Bucky constantly flirts with Wanda, but she's kinda oblivious to it. She's got a major crush on him, but she always says that she doesn't want to be another one of his conquests." She whispered lowly so Wanda, who was staring at the back or Bucky's head, wouldn't hear.
"Tony is Howard Stark's son, so he's basically the billionaire brainiac who uses his wit to embarrass kids. His comebacks are legendary," Pepper admitted.
