A Poem to Life

Hello old friend
Nice to see you again
Is your hair now blue
Wow that's new

No no, it looks good
No don't put on your hood
But hair aside
We need to talk, you and I

See this us lately
We've been kind of shaky
There's no consistency
Hold on, wait, listen, see

I'm not trying to be mean
But if there's going to be a we
Then you need to understand
We need to form some kind of plan

Or should practice communicating
Oh, is that you're heartbreaking
Look, I don't want to hurt you
But you need to know the truth

What we're doing now isn't working
If anything we're failing
But I'm stuck with you
No matter what I do

So we need to figure this out
Oh geez, don't pout
Well, what do you want to do about it
What do you mean just quite

Why're you always doing this
Always throwing a giant fit
You can't just leave me
Think of all the things we could be

Let's just start from the beginning
And no you're not leaving
Go ahead and sit back down
We will work this out

We can think of something
I just need you to work with me
I can't do this all alone
It's impossible on my own

Yeah, there's a bit of stormy weather
We've gone through worse together
We will go through worse
And we can handle force

I just need you to work with me
I need you to be a part of my team

There's no one else I can find

You can't be switched
So this needs to be fixed
There's no going around it anymore
There's only one more door

It's going to hurt
We're going to feel like dirt
But there's no living without pain
And nothing stays the same

We just have to roll with it
I promise you we can do this
Let's just try a little while longer
Who knows, we might grow stronger
