February 15th 2014
3 years later.

That conversation was now a faded tiny memory in the two teens minds. Minho was now 15 going on 16 and Y/N was 14 going on 15. They now went to Highschool and struggled to balance their childish nature with school work. They had grown up, but not all that much. When the weather was nice they still went to the park to play on the swings and despite the fact they had grown too big for their secret room they still met up in the backyard and talked.

Most these days mistaked the two for a couple, which was always politly denyed by both, who always insisted they were nothing more than childhood friends. Even though both craved something more than friends they never spoke about it to anyone, in fear it might ruin what they had.

It was cold that day, the snow had more or less stopped but the street they now strolled down was still blanketed in snow, the sky covered in heavy gray clouds. The topic of discussion was the valentine's day they had just had. Minho was often given gifts by girls he didn't know and although he accepted them, the only one he looked forward too was the one Y/N gave to him. The same went for the girl. She laughed as he explained how one girl kept giving him small paper hearts in each period until she saw her giving him her stupid gift. Y/N laughed as they turned a corner, walking through the busy streets crowded with people bustling into shops on this, one of their only days off.

Her eyes caught something in the window of a shop across the street. A pet store advertising kittens in the front window. A smile appeared on her face as she turned around to her friend, tugging his arm.

"Minho we have to go look at the kittens"

The boy chuckled at his friends excitement, he watched her eyes sparkle and her lips tug into a smile, his heart doing a tiny backflip as he nodded.

"Okay, but I am not getting you a cat"

The girl smirked laughing slightly

"As if you don't want to buy every cat in that store"

she paused tugging at his sleeve a bit

"Let's goooo!"

Minho watched in surprise as his friend without any thought leaped into the street to run to the pet store. She would have made it past the oncoming truck if she hadn't slipped, if Minho hadn't been too slow to yell at her to look out.

It happened fast. If you blinked you might have missed it. Y/N fell to the ground, the driver of the truck jumped out in a panic. Minho ran into the street and screamed at the driver, tears spilled down his face and hit the cold snow. But Y/N experienced something no one could see.

Her mind was going blank, and she was watching it happen. She watched as her memories of minho and this life she had lead slowly dripped away. She opened her mouth trying to plead for her life, trying to remember, but her voice couldn't surface out. He had been right.

When you die you forget everything. Even the people you love.

She silently pleaded for a second chance, something, anything! She couldn't leave yet she hadn't grown up, she hadn't told Minho her feelings, she had so much to do still.

As her last memories started to slip from her grasps she was promised her second chance. She would get to be with Minho again, someday... But would he remember her?

Y/N had already forgot. She already slipped away by the time the ambulance arrived. She already started again.
