Chapter 8: Objects with Boots

We've finally made it to the dining hall! This was all thanks to my amazing map reading skills of course! Ok, so I had a little help from Tyler, but I'm not going to admit it! Wait I may have just admitted it....

Anyway back to the dining hall.

I looked around because isn't that what people do when they enter someplace new? I saw a large chandler hanging from the ceiling, a large table, many seats already preoccupied (I think I said that right) and all the food on the table.

Keld immediately let the tie fall out of her mouth. It was covered in drool, but so was my hair so I continued to ignore it.

"Hey guys! I see you finally made it, and with a Tyler in hand!" Jason waved.

We all walked over to some free seats by the table.

"By the way what took you guys so long?" Ty asked.

"We gave the one person who has absolutely no skill in map reading." Matt said pointing towards me.

"In my defense it was a very confusing map!" I said well, in my defense I guess! Everyone started laughing at me. I don't get the joke.

We all started eating the food. I chose some steak because why not? I looked over to see Keld looking around for something. Finally she stopped and looked disappointed and saw her put on her thinking face. I guess she didn't find her banana.

We were almost done eating when Keld got up from her seat and left. What the heck was that all about? I thought. It seems I wasn't the only one thinking that because everyone was looking where she'd gone.

"Well that happened," Ian stated. I guess I forgot to say who was there. Well it's Quentin, Seto, Mitch, Ian, Jerome, Ty, Jason, Tyler, and then our group. Well I got that over with!

"She's not normally like this..." Rachel replied. I got up and decided to go out the same way she had. I saw I wasn't alone because Rachel followed.

"She's my friend too!" Was all she said and then we tried to follow her.

We went down many paths and then we came upon a boot.

Keld's boot to be exact.

We picked up the boot and continued down the hall. We were about to turn down another hall when we saw another boot. Well this couple was reunited! Now what about the friendship couple?

The boot was found in front of a door to another room. And it was opened slightly. We opened it a little more to get a good look inside. Inside we saw a room full of chests and books, even an enchantment table was in there! Keld was looking inside one of the chests throwing out anything she didn't want.

"No, no, no...." We heard her mumble. She finally pulled something out of the chest that she seemed to want because she said," Finally! I found it!" I just took a lucky guess.

She grabbed the object then started to head out the door. Rachel and I hugged the hallway wall, hoping she wouldn't see us.

She continued down the hall, and thankfully didn't see us. We followed her back and saw her go back through the dining hall doors.

What was she doing back here?
