HAILEY'S POV

MONDAY.

Sounds like a bitch.

And I have to deal with Mandy again.

I took a shower, brush my teeth, combed my hair and it looked okay, applied a thin mascara, a light blush smacked on my cheeks and applied a pink soft lip tint on my lips. For my outfit, I choose a white T-shirt and I tucked it in with ripped jeans and denim jacket hung on my shoulders.

This would do for the day, I thought.

I grabbed my school bag and went downstairs for breakfast. I think Mandy missed me. Cause she always dragged my name and lead it to trouble.

Sweet.

"But Hailey has the lip tint! You don't even buy me one!" She stomped her feet like a 4-year-old child who demanded sweets and her eyebrows were as low as her boobs.

She even argued about lip tints with my family.

How childish.

"Mandy! There's a 7-year-old kid here, please behave." Aunt Marissa, Mandy's mom slammed her hand on the table and Mandy suddenly whimpered like a scolded puppy.

I forced myself not to laugh and walked in.

"What's going on?" I asked innocently and everyone stared at me.

Mandy flickered his gaze on me and I saw an 'I will kill you' vibe in her eyes.

"Oh, nothing. Let's eat everyone." Aunt Marissa announced and we started to dig in.

Mandy had been quiet on breakfast. Which I found was definitely strange. She always threw insults or painful compliments and acted like a 5-year-old kid.

But, who cares?

"Bye, everyone," I said and dashed to the garage.

I arrived early at school and hopped off the seat and locked the car.

I looked at my left and right. There's no one here and I shrugged.

I went to my locker and took out the books for today and suddenly, a figure slammed his or her right hand at my locker on my left side.

"What the-" I cursed but immediately slapped his hand off of the locker as soon as I saw his face.

"Miss me, princess?"

"Of course not," I said sarcastically and gagged at the nickname. I accidentally flipped my hair and it slapped to his face.

Hah! You deserve it!

"Hmm.. don't you miss us?" He said in a soft tone and I gave him a look of disgust. Yuck.

"What about us? What about all the times you said-" I sang and suddenly he smacked my head, hard and kicked my legs.

This was the reason why I broke up with Ethan. He was abusive since Hadley was gone. He was her best friend nonetheless. I met him through Hadley.

I fell on the ground, dragging him along with me and slapped his right cheek and pushed him away from me.

Eat that you sucker!

I ran to the girl's toilet and hide in there. I gasped for air and rubbed my chest slowly.

"What a prick," I yelled. I opened the door and went out, looking to the left and right.

He's not here.

I huffed and walked slowly but suddenly a hand grasped my arm and pushed me to the wall near the toilet.

"Hey-" I exclaimed but someone cut me out.

"You, you slapped me!" He said dramatically and shoot me a glare with his evil eyes.

Drama queen.

"So what?" I asked sarcastically and he was ready to punch the hell out of me but someone stopped him.

"Get your hands off of my girl," Chris said in a dangerous and threatening tone but I found it funny as fuck.

Noice act.

"Piss off, dude- hey, aren't you familiar?" He asked but then we ran and Chris dragged us all the way to a secluded area.

"Who is he?" He asked.

"Ex-boyfriend," I answered and shrugged lazily.

"Ex-boyfriend?" He asked again and I rolled my eyes.

"Ex-boyfriend equals former boy-" He cut me out in a sudden act and rolled his eyes dramatically.

"I knew what is an ex-boyfriend, it's just- I was surprised." He said and I wrapped my arms on my chest.

"Shut up." I shut him out and he made a ridiculous 'ay, ay madam.'

"He said that you're familiar to him, do you know him?" I asked and he nodded.

"He's quite popular in many nightclubs here." He said and I frowned.

That asshole broke my trust and my heart, yet still came back and ruined everything.

"We should act properly and professional, otherwise he'd get suspicious," I muttered and he broke a grin.

"Sure, little girl." He said and walked away from me.

"I'm not little, you dumbass!" I yelled and he waved at me.

I walked to the class with a smile curved on my mouth.
