Toni's P.O.V
"March. A few more months and then school's finally over, hold on Toni." I tell myself as I turn off the alarm that caused me to wake up in the most horrible way. I sit up in my bed, stretch and then rub my eyes a bit.
Ugh, school. Gross.
I get out of my bed and head downstairs to get some breakfast. As I get downstairs, I see my younger brother eating his cereal already. "Good morning Toni!" He says, sounding very happy. I have no idea how he can be happy to go to school. I mean... school. "Good morning Tristan." I say back, sounding super tired. He looks at me while I fail pouring cereal in my bowl... great job Toni, great job. I groan. "Do you need any help?" Tristan asks me while he's still chewing his cereal. "What? No, of course not. Why do you ask?" "No nothing, it's just that you attempted to pour the cereal in the bowl but failed completely." My little brother says. I sigh. He's right. I need a doctor.
"Ughhhhhhhhhh" I let out all of the sudden.
"Everything okay here?" My mom asks when she comes in the kitchen. "I'm fine, I don't know about Toni though..." "I'm fine, don't mind me." I say. I eat my cereal very slowly, I'm so hungry. "Oh, Troy-" "Mom, I'm Tristan!" My brother says. I groan again. "Oh, sorry dear. I know how much you miss Troy." My mom says. I sit down and lean with my elbows on the table. I put my head in my hands. "Why did you have to mistake Tristan for Troy again...?!" I say. I can silently hear Tristan say "Here we go again." but I ignore it. I look up and say "Why did he have to study architecture in Europe?! Couldn't he just stay here? Instead of going to the Netherlands? To a place named after a freaking dishwashing liquid?!!" "Uh... sis?" "Yeah?" "That's Dreft, Troy went to study in Delft." Great, now I don't even know geography... I never understood geography, so who cares. "That's not the point, the point is, I miss Troy!!! When is he coming back?" I ask. "I don't know Toni, but I'm sure he'll come back soon. Just hold on a bit you two." My mom says.
I stand up and go upstairs and get ready for hell... wait, I meant school, sorry.
No I didn't.
"Tristan, come on, I have to get you to school and then I have to get you to school myself." I shout as I come downstairs and head for the door. "Or else I'll just leave without you..." I add grinning. "No, no, no, no! I'm here, don't leave without me!" He says running through the door that I opened while he was sprinting. "Bye mom!" Tristan and I say in unison. "Bye babies!" I hear right before I close the door.
I just arrive at Tristan's school to drop him off. Of course, being a wise older sister, I don't get out of the car for two reasons: 1. I have to get to school myself, 2. It's better to embarrass Tristan after school when I pick him up. "Bye Tris!" "Bye Toni!" he says and slams the car door shut. I get on my way to my school.
I arrive at school and park my car, I get out and head towards my best friends, Darcy and Dalton. "Oh well hello there!" Dalton greets, and right after Darcy approaches me for a hug and greets me while hugging me. We let go and I see Dalton already waiting to do our super cool handshake, because yeah... we're cool. At least he is, but I am too... that's why I'm not popular. "I really have to tell you something, it's about Alexander Parker." Ahh, Alexander Parker. The most popular guy of junior year. Captain of Dalton's basketball team. He's hot. I have had a crush on him since freshmen year, when he was late for class and I was sitting alone so Mrs. Bright told him to sit next to me. Good times. We've never had a real conversation, I just complimented him whenever I saw him after a game of his, but nothing more. "What is it?! Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me!!!" I say, super exited because I want to know. "He said he likes brunettes with a funny personality. You're a brunette and you're funny, you totally have a chance!!!" "Oh my gosh, this is amazing!!!" Darcy and I are grinning from ear to ear, I have a chance. "Oh my gosh, my crush that probably doesn't know who I am might like me!" Dalton says, mocking me. "Stop mocking me." "You know, I'm his best friend, I can easily talk to him if you want, instead of hoping he would talk to you all of the sudden." Dalton says, he has a point. "I know, you have a point, I just don't know how." I say. Dalton and Darcy both wanted to say something but then the school bell rang, indicating that we had to head to our classes. "I have Math." "I have Biology." They say. "You guys go ahead, I have to go to my locker first to get my books." "Okay, see ya later." Darcy says and Dalton nods. I nod too.
I arrive at my locker and take out the books I need for the upcoming two classes. My books are filled with doodles everywhere. I just can't help it. I also grab my notebook, where I draw stuff when I'm bored during class. I close my locker and head to English class. I grab my phone because my mom texted me, so I was looking at my phone while I was walking to class. I turn around the corner and I bump against someone. All my books fall to the ground, open, I only have my phone in my hand. I don't look up to see who I bump against and I just kneel down to grab my books. The person I bumped against kneels to help me. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going and that was stupid, I hate that I'm so clum-" "It's okay, don't worry" I looked up to see who I bumped against a few moments ago and...
Is any of you guys clumsy?
I am.
