Chapter 23

Clarke

"Bell, your awake."

"I'm sorry, who are you?" He asked. His voice was quiet and rough.

I didn't say anything. I stared blankly at him as the tears gathered up in my eyes, I felt my heart break. I went to leave the room, I didn't want to cry in front of someone who didn't know me. But Bellamy grabbed my hand and I couldn't leave.

"I'm kidding princess, I know who you are."

I let the tears fall down my cheeks. "What's wrong with you!?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you, come here."

He pulled my wrist lightly until I was Laying on the bed next to him. His arm wrapping around me while I held his other one. I laid my head gently on his chest and he kissed the top of my head. All the reasons I had to be mad and hate him had left when he woke up.

"Bellamy."

"Yes princess."

"About the party-"

"Clarke, let's not talk about this right now. Okay, I know I messed up but let's enjoy the fact that-"

This time I cut him off. "What I was going to say was." I sit up so I can face him. "I forgive you. I'm not mad."

He doesn't say anything. He leans up and connects our lips in the most gentle kiss we have ever shared.

"I'm glad you forgive me but how can you forgive me so easily?"

"When I found out that you were in a crash I literally felt my heart break. I can't imagine loosing you. And sitting in this hospital day in and day out made me realize that I need you. You made a mistake, so what, your human. Humans can make mistakes. They also deserve forgiveness, so I forgive you."

"What did I do to deserve you?"

I laugh and lay back down, "I don't know Blake what did you do?"

———(2 days later)

"Alright Mr. Blake, your free to go home. You might be skittle sore still. Just take it easy for a while and you'll be back to yourself in no time."

Bellamy nodded his head as he headed to the door to leave. I could tell Bellamy was ready to leave the hospital since he woke up. Every time I would see him he asked me when he could leave. It would always make me smile, he was like a little kid, he hated the hospital.

"Hey Bell."

"Princess, I have been in this hell home for god knows how long. Whatever you want to tell me can wait till we're in the car driving as fast as we can away from here."

I laugh and cross my arms over my chest. "I mean we can leave now. If yo don't mind the entire hospital seeing your ass as you walk through the hospital."

"What?"

"Your still in your hospital gown you idiot."

He snatches his bag of clothes from my hands and quickly changes in the bathroom. When he's out he throws the hospital gown on the bed and leaves the room, not waiting for me. When I finally catch up to him he's waiting at the car impatiently tapping his foot, waiting for me to unlock the car.

"You, my friend, are such a child it's ridiculous." I joke

"But I'm your child."

"Your my something alright." I say, only realizing after how inappropriate it probably sounded to him.

"I was gonna say something, but by the look on your face I can tell you already know I took that to the dirtiest places ever so I'm just gonna get in the car."

"Good idea." I say as I scrunch my nose at him and get in myself
