Lyric sat at her light blue desk, boredly staring at her notebook, waiting for an idea to come to her head, but that idea never came.
'This is taking way too long!' Lyric said in her head, sighing at the thought of her having to go to her class unprepared for the speech she was going to give.
Tomorrow is the last day of school, the last day of 6th grade, and her science teacher told the class to make a goodbye speech.
'This is lame.. I probably just shouldn't do the speech. I could just come up with a simple excuse!'
Just then, Lyric started to hear rain patter on her window.
She continued to debate on whether she should do the speech or not.
"Lyriiiic!! we're going to Walmart for a sec! do you want to go with us or are you fine here?"
Her mom called out from the first floor.
"Sure I'll come with you guys!"
Lyric hated driving while it's raining.
She always thought that the car tires would slip from the rain and crash.
But there was one in a million chances if that happening.
Her mom, grandma, 7 year old brother, and herself hopped into the car, and started making their way.
