I just remember staring at Jake sleeping and thinking, I'm screwed. Totally. Fucked.
The boy made of emerald has stolen my heart completely. I'm middle school and early high school, he was just a crush. A dream.
He was gorgeous with his blond waves and the eyes of a crystal. The way his face shifted when he smiled melted my young self's heart.
But now, sitting here, looking at him at close. I see the little freckles dashed across his nose, and the beautiful sharpness of his cheekbones. His full lips that were just kissing me not that long ago. His hair that I now get to run my fingers through and tug on to get that amazing groan out of him.
But there's his eyes. It's always been his eyes. They just seem so warm and inviting. But now, they hold mysteries. Ones I'm slowing finding out. Such as his secret love for reading. Or his talent for cooking. The way he treats others with kindness. Or how they lighten when he's around his family and friends. The way he respects my mom and everyone else. But then there's the look that I saw just earlier. His mischievous look. One that I'll will never forget, for sure. And I catch myself wanting to see them darken like that again. I want to test the waters and see just how much they can change.
"You know, if you keep staring at me I'm gonna have to call the police." Jake quietly says.
"Oh shut up." I laugh at him.
He removes his arm from his eyes and peaks at me. When he looks at me he smiles wide and wraps his arm tighter around me.
"Were you at least enjoying what you were seeing?" He asked with arrogance in his voice.
"Not one bit." I said with a serious tone.
He just looked at me for a second.
"I bet I can change your mind." He says.
As I stare at him I see his eyes, they've darkened.
I looked at him and smiled. Now is my chance to test the waters.
"I bet you can't." The tone remaining.
He slowly gets up and walks away. As he heads towards the closet, he is slipping off his shirt. With his back to me I look at him and see how his muscles move. But their movement wasn't the only thing catching my eye.
He has red marks, all over his back.
When I see it I hide my laugh behind my hand causing him to turn towards me. His shirt still off.
My eyes gravitate towards his chest. It's broad and smooth. His abs are extremely noticeable and I can't help myself but want to run my fingers over it.
My gaze lowers a bit though. His hips pop out like his cheek bones, making a perfect, and very hot v-shape.
My eyes linger longer than they should've and Jake knows I'm fucked now with how long I stared.
"What was it that bet was just about?" He said with a wild grin.
Oh please don't. I won't want to hold back.
"Anne?" He said stepping closer to me.
"Mm?" I said barely moving my gaze from his body.
He stands right in front of me and bends down to meet my gaze. I get as equally lost in his eyes as I did looking at his body.
He walks closer towards me on the bed, and eventually crawls to where he's right above me.
I laid there as he held himself up with both of his arms over me, and one knee is bent in equal attempt to hold himself up.
