Just Childhood Friends (Yaoi)

Chapter 1: Just Coffee

Hikaru

"Oh you guys make such a cute couple!" squeals the teenage girl behind the coffee counter. Yukki turns his head to me and I shrug. We are kind of used to it. A lot of people think we're a couple but I'm not really sure why.

Me and Yukki are friends and we have been since fourth grade when we sat next to each other and used to make fun of our teacher, Mr. Myers. He was a weird old guy with a mole right in the middle of his chin. Me and Yukki would laugh at him all the time. I swear he must have hated us.

Anyways, we grabbed our own coffees off the counter and turned to walk out the door. Yukki chuckles and turns his head to me. "So couple huh?"

I chuckle back. "Hey! I'm a catch!"

He laughs "More like a whale stuck in a fishing net!" I scoff and hit his arm playfully. Then we both break out into laughter.

I was glad we could laugh about this. I was scared when I came out to Yukki two years ago, during freshman year. I wasn't really sure how he would react but he accepted me, hell, he even knocked around a couple of bullies who tried to tease me about it later.

I looked over to Yukki who was staring back, smiling. "What are you staring at?" He just reached over and brushed something off my cheek with his thumb. I feel my cheeks heat up slightly and I cover my cheek still tingling from his touch.

"You had an eyelash..." I look back up at him, seriously he's like 8 inches taller than me, and smile slightly. "Um... thanks." I pulled my hand back down still knowing that there was a blush there.

"So..." I said trying to change the conversation. "We going to your house to play that new game." He looks back at me surprised, "How'd you know? I just got it last night!"

I roll my eyes and laugh, poking his abs through his shirt, "I know all your secrets, Yukki Blade..." He laughs, "Ya, I'm sure." I toss my empty cup into the trash can as we walk by. "Last one to your house..." He finishes off my sentence "...has to make the snacks." I smile, "Yep! Alright. Ready..... Set..... GO!"

I grin and take off. Yukki far behind me. Honestly Yukki may look athletic but he hates to run or rather he's no good at it. I've always been fast and that one kid who actually looks forward to the mile run in gym class. Yukki on the other hand always came close to last just because he's so slow.

I don't think he actually minds making the snacks because he's never protested it and he still races me. I get to his house before I turn and see him halfway down the street still running. I laugh as he comes out of breath up his driveway.

"Slow as ever I see" I tease lightly. He just shakes his head tiredly "Whatever, Speedy Gonzolez..." I smile and watch him take out his keys and open the door.

I grin mockingly "Chips if you have any". He waves an arm brushing me off "Ya ya your highness" I chuckle and head up the stairs to his room.
