Another Curse? (Kyo Sohma x reader) (Discontinued)

Skeptical

(Y/N)'s pov 

If I had to pick one word to describe our friends, it would be skeptical. Tohru always asked us random questions seeing if we were alright. You know being the kind hearted person she is. Yuki, being as mysterious as he may be, still seemed worried about us. Then there was Kyo. He didn't talk to us much, but through his round about, hot headed way, he tried to be nicer to us. They knew something was wrong, but we were shut tight. No one needed to know about our lives. Even if they have something similar going on, our lives are our lives. It was the end of the day.

"Hey, (Y/N)!" A voice called cutting my thoughts off. I turned around slightly startled. I see Tohru walking with two other girls towards me. They stop in front of me and the first one speaks.

"So this is the girl you keep talking about?" She asks. She's a tall girl with long, blonde hair. Her eyes were black and hid a glint of rebellion behind a genuine kind look. She looked strong, like she could beat someone to a pulp in second if they crossed her. I take a note to stay on her good side.

"I sense interesting electrical waves coming from her. Much like the Sohma cousins." The second girl replied. She was shorter than the first girl, but she was taller than Tohru. Her hair was an interesting green color and was in a long braid that hung over her shoulder. She also had black eyes, but they looked mysterious and emotionless. She didn't look very strong, but still had a look that told me I shouldn't piss her off.

"Oh hello, I'm (Y/N) (L/N). It's very nice to meet you two." I say to them. I have seen them hanging around Tohru in class, but have never actually met them.

"(Y/N), this is Hana and Uo my best friends!" Tohru exclaimed happily. She pointed to each of them when she said their names. 

They both give me polite greetings as we begin to walk out of class together. We talked about random things to be able to get to know each other. I made the mistake of letting my guard down. We ended up parting ways with Uo and Hana walking with each other and Tohru and I walking towards the forest we both live in. 

I began to fidget with my hands as we walked. I heard a bush rustle and saw someone jump out running into both Tohru and I. All three of us went sprawling on the ground. Confused and slightly hurt I looked at who ran into us. When I saw who it was I was shocked.

"Oh, hello little boy, are you alright?" Tohru spoke before I had a chance to react.

The boy stood however he looked very upset, "I am no little boy, I am a full grown man." he replied with a pout.

"H-Hold on. Kai?!" I exclaimed in both surprise and worry.

"Oh (Y/N), it seems I've found you." Kai said a bland look on his face.

"(Y/N) who is this?" Tohru asked tilting her head.

"He is part of the (L/N) family. He is also one of the zodiacs. Which brings up the question of why you didn't transform when you ran into Tohru?" I asked. I was trying to distract him from the goal he was most likely here to achieve.

"(Y/N), there is no need for you to worry about me taking you to Maurd. I was here to find you to tell you that he is leaving. I care not for your return." He replied. One thing I can't deny is that he is smart. "As for your question. I ran into you and your force knocked your friend down."

"So basically you knew it was me and still decided to knock us down?" I asked with a deadpan look.

"Basically." He replied simply.

"Well if that's all you came for I think we'll be leaving now."

"Now, now, Cub, don't you know it's rude to leave with out introducing everyone." Kai said slightly annoyed. I knew he was talking about Tohru. I also knew he would follow us until he got his answer.

"One, I'm not a cub anymore. Two, this Tohru. She is a friend of mine." I answered with a small glare to the small man. His red hair fell over his blue eyes as he chuckled in amusement.

"How cute the cub thinks she's a lioness." Kai teases playfully. The tension broke as he said that.

"Hey this cub could kick your butt." I laughed.

"Wait didn't you guys just hate each other?" Tohru asked confused. Earning a smile from me.

"We never hated each other. Kai is actually one of my best friends. He was also my only friend before you. We always act like this with each other." I replied.

"Well, I should be off. Maurd is waiting." Kai said walking off.

"Be careful." I called. I knew they were leaving, but it still didn't feel right.

~time skip~

I woke up with the same nightmare. Why? He's gone, I shouldn't be worried anymore. I give myself a dry chuckle. I knew why. He's never truly gone. I guess it's just me being skeptical.
