I watched black lighting part from the dark grey clouds that hung over the castle. A huge crackled boom followed after as the strike of lighting hit on the trees in the distance. The black tree set on fire, unleashing dark black flames spiraling everywhere.
With a sigh, I glared at the fire, using my powers to die it out. I stood in front of the floor to ceiling windows that faced the village. With my hands clasped behind my back, I peered upon the villagers as they did their daily routines and went about with their lives.
In the aisles between shops, were homeless men that lurked in dark, peering at women in an inappropriate way. Every once in a while, they would grab one off the streets and start handling her in a way no gentlemen should. I watched as they snatched one off the street. My anger instantly rose causing series of lighting to part within the clouds and makes booms one after the other.
The ground shook by the effect and the men let go of the women as police filed into the aisle. I took note as the women faced towards my castle and bowed in respect.
"You're welcome" My voice raspy and dry.
I knew she wouldn't hear but it's my job to protect my people. I decided to take a walk around the castle after drawing the huge black curtains over the window. Pushing the chamber door open, it groaned in protect. I mentally took note that it need to be fixed.
The castle was bustling as always. Servants tended to their needs while other subjects walked up and down the halls of the palace withholding conversation. The clicking sounds of my boots on the marble flooring were the only obvious sound in the hall as many would know it's the king herself. I refuse to let the castle go down hill with the insides. I must admit that yes, the outside looked like shit, but everything was the same on the inside.
I gave the cleaners direct orders that everything will still be cleaned and polished beyond perfection even after the tragedy. The tragedy.
I squeezed my fist out of anger and let out a huff of air.
Don't let your anger control you, she whispered.
"I'm trying" I muttered.
Continuing my journey down the wide halls of the palace, I entered the throne room and with the bows of my subjects. I took my place on my towering black throne. It stood fifteen feet tall, adorn with black jewels and pieces of diamonds. The entire throne itself gave off darkness which it is something that I don't mind. Although she didn't like it.
Another throne sat beside my own but shorter. Hers was a drastic difference between mine. It was silver with black cushions to try and keep the matching looks a little. Black jewels and diamonds adorned it as well. It was her favorite part.
"Your Majesty?" A noble guard clicked into the throne room. His hand on his sword, out of natural habit as he presented himself.
"Yes?" I look at him blankly, waiting for him to present information.
"Your mother" he bowed. My mother rounds the corner and walks gracefully into the throne room. Her black and gold dress trailing behind her effortlessly. Her jet black hair that I have inherited was curled loosely at the ends but put behind her ears to show off her sparkling earrings.
"How is my daughter doing lately?" She smiled fully at me, her bright white teeth showing.
I stood and clasped my hand behind my back and walked down the steps that were there before the thrones and stood in front of her. "I've been doing swell, why might you ask?" I squint at her slightly.
"Oh you know," she walked to the left of me very slowly and back again as if she was pacing. "Just thought you heard the news"
"What news is there? Must've not been important if I didn't receive anything, hm?" I leant forward to get in her face, to only get pushed back rather roughly with a sound of distaste.
"That your deceased queen is out of her coffin" she states bluntly.
I look at her hard and being careful with my facial expressions especially with the type of information she presented. I look into her eyes and there was nothing. No lies, no jokes. She was serious.
I rushed past her and weaved my way through the halls with my speed and towards the massive gardens of the back castle. I pushed past the working gardeners and as they bowed but quickly peered upward with curiosity. Walking with steadiness as the sounds of my black tall boots grew louder and louder with each step. The cobbled path way led to a isolated part of the garden. It was blocked of with tall bushes and flowers.
Her flowers
My steps abruptly end when I see the tiny buildings door cracked open. I can feel my mother's presence behind me as I stared at the tombs building.
"The gardener was cleaning up the area around it and saw it open and immediately reported back. I know you only have one designated person for this part of the garden and she stated that she didn't lay a hand on the door" She said while walking up next to me.
I peer down at her frame and she looked upward at me. "She wasn't lying my dear Gianna."
My hand grasped the golden handle and pulled the door open. It opens with ease and I step in. The environment was homey. It was decorated with candles and various pictures of her. It made my heart beat. (A/N vampires hearts don't beat, only for their mates)
My eyes traveled over to her tomb that lays in the middle of four marble pillars that support an arch adorn with crystals that are rare and jewels. Warm lights were shined down on the casket but something was hugely out of placed.
The lid of the casket was pushed to the side but not enough to not it to the floor and shatter. Waking up the few steps of the post that level the casket and stood before it. My pale hand gliding across the crease of the lid then gripping it hard in angry. I shove it with fury looked down into the casket. Empty.
The marble lid shattered off the side of casket making pieces of it spell all over the floor as if it was liquid it self.
"Where is she?!" I roared, making the ground shake then followed with series of booms of thunder and lightning.
