Shade smirked, his gray eyes sparkling as his green spikes with stripes of gray started spiking, as he passed his brother Shadow. The others red eyes gleamed annoyance and amusement. His black quills with the red stripes spiked out in all directions. Both of them decided to take a stroll in the woods to get away from the chaos known as their home. Before they both knew it, they were racing through familiar grounds and joking around. Shadow was only ever relaxed when he was hanging around his brother or his brother's friends.
"'Too slow!'" Shade tried to talk like Sonic to annoy Shadow, but instead it made his voice sound rather too squeaky and rather too girl like. Shadow laughed at that fail and ran right beside Shade.
"Stick with Cry's voice, my dear brother," Shadow smirked, showing his sharp teeth.
"With that squeaky voice?" Shade shrugged," Please, I could stick with Minx's. still sticking with Snake?"
Shadow nodded.
Shade snorted. He slowed down his pace as did his twin. Both if them did a circle around these parts so they ended up were they started the race, in front of a tree with claw marks from a demon that appeared from Shadow's shadow. The twins walked, and kept walking, from the side of the said tree.
"After all these years..." Shadow mumbled to himself, but for Shade's great hearing, he heard the words with ease.
"We still love this place," Shade finished.
A couple of yards away from the tree, stood a small cave that was hidden by a waterfall that created a pond in front of it. Stones were placed as walking stones and streams of water were all around with bright green grass and tall trees that provided shade. The plush grass sometimes served as a resting place for the people who lived in the house near, which were only Shadow and Shade's friend, and they would often talk about life or just rest.
This place here was so...peaceful. It was so beautiful and amazing.
Shadow and Shade stopped under a very wide tree that provided enough shade for both of them. They sat down and sat side by side with their backs against the bark.
The blue sky pierced through the leaves and rays of sunshine made its way through lighting up certain areas.
"Hadn't had a peaceful day in awhile..." Shade purred closing his eyes, a thumping noise echoed around.
Shade was more than welcome to voice his thoughts, stupid or completely idiotic they may be, but sometimes he would stay silent and observe. Even though, people who knew Shade would know that he was completely deadly when he was silent. I mean, they gave him the title 'Mad Cry' for a reason.
The thumping noise was from Shade's wagging tail banging against the bark.
However, Shade's enthusiasm was as contagious as Sonic's happiness.
"Shade..." Shadow muttered.
"Hm?" Shade leaned against Shadow now, completely relaxed.
However, he frowned when he found out that Shadow was not. Twin power you might say, because he could feel Shadows emotions and knows everything with one look. Heck, they could even talk to each other in their own minds for the fun if it.
"What," Shade opened his eyes in a glare, for once getting what he wanted and having it taken away from him again.
"Silence," Shadow muttered," Why are demons in this area?"
Shade looked around at the word 'demons' and whacked the side of Shadow's head.
"I sense nothing!" Shade hissed," I wanna get to relaxing again or I'll make your own personal thunder cloud."
"Hold it, Zeus," Shadow growled," Not your demons."
"The Dark Abyss has a day where I can't sense them, which makes the baddies have a rave," Shade waved his arms in his arm," Cept the coke is replaced by blood and the music is replaced by people's screams."
Shadow's ear twitched at the sound of Shade's words that made quite a lovely image in his head.
"When is that day?" Shadow asked crossing his arms, sitting up more straightly.
Shade scoffed.
"Just because I happen to be controlled by the 'King' of that place doesn't mean I have to no anything."
"Asterius had no clue either, I take?"
"Yeah, no clue..."
"I figured."
"So we kick some demons butt?"
"No."
Shade sat up now. His eyes as wide as dinner plates.
"Heh," Shade smiled softly punching Shadow's arm," Ya sure? Cuz last time, we had to call in the freaking Gods to help us and we already had the whole entire Sonic crew with us."
"Look," Shadow growled," Don't need to fight until we figured they actually mean harm."
"Fine," Shade pouted.
Shadow stood up and walked toward the side of the cave where the grass grew and the stone dipped making a unintentional chair.
"After all," Shadow smirked, pulling out his phone from his pocket, his smirk widening when he say the excitement in his twins eyes.
Shade walked closer to him and sat down where the stone dipped and a second later Shadow joined, while Shadow tapped on YouTube and tapped a new video from Pewds.
The soft gentle breeze and the leaves that fell from it made it peaceful all over again. With the birds chirping and everything that you would expect from nature.
And the breeze carried the unspoken words from Shadow, but Shade knew what he was going to say anyway.

We don't want to ruin a peaceful day, correct?
