Bakugo walked out of his captains quarters onto the old ship's floor his foot steps made the wood boards creek under him, his first make Kirishima was behind him shutting the heavy wooden door. The sky was clear not a single cloud in it, yellow rays of sunlight from the sunrise made the ship glow stunningly. "Captain" Kirishima started as Bakugo looked around at his crew, many of them were still sleepy as they cleaned the deck of the ship and checked barrels to make sure they went missing anything. "The sirens are mainly active at sunset and sunrise due to the major activity of sailors and trade ships that come in by then. We should make camp and stay posted on a near by island." Tokoyami looked down at the two "If thats your plan then up a head to the south see there is a large island where sirens might frequent." Bakugo sighed It was to early to make such plans before he had something to eat but he thought it might be a good idea as long as the two would leave him alone after wards. The tall captain nodded "Set coarse for it I don't wanna waste time." The captain looked out across the sea his crew and him were feared by name but the king of Northerstine still set out to ask for their help. Three sirens were causing issues for the kingdoms trade ships that passed through the south sea to avoid large bands of pirates and sea monsters, the route was safe until ships went missing around rocky island the trade ships had no business going near. Sirens were the cause as their singing lured the ships close to the dangerous and deadly rocky coves. he smiled knowing the amount of riches they would collect from bringing in even one of the sirens, Bakugo could almost feel the gold in his hands. "Kirishima, how many sirens are in the south sea?" He turned to his first mate as a soft breeze blew past slightly blowing his hair into his face, he pushed it back as Kirishima turned to him quickly. "Three from what trade ships say but there could be more, plus" The red head sighed "the two male sirens can fight big time, one is cute but is stronger than any man and the other can control ice and fire as will." The stories of the sailors that broke free for the cursed song informed the Kingdom that the sirens were fighters if any ship didn't fall victim to their song many traders came back with broken bones, large burns and even some parts of the covered in frost bite even in the middle of summer. Bakugo let a small explosion go off in the palm of his hand "I like them already I see why they will bring us such good money!" he laughed crazily hoping for a fight he couldn't wait to fight the sirens and bring them back to the king. The sun had risen by this point and some of the crew were eating rations of bread and rum, Bakugo looked out at the dark blue ocean his red eyes almost glowing in the morning light.
The crew landed on the island, it was large very large and most of it was covered in a dense forest of evergreen trees and thick bushes. Tokoyami an Kirishima were talking with Bakugo about where the sirens could be he was half paying attention to the people talking and half looking around their soon to be camp site. The area was sandy with few rocks along the shore, small waves lapped at the beach and splashed lightly against the rocks, birds flew in and out of the forest making musical tweets and adding a feeling of peace to the island. The tweeting stopped only for a second allowing Bakugo to hear a faint tune being hummed from inside the forest 'huh?' he raised his eyebrows in curiosity. "I'm going out to explore a bit I'll be back whenever I feel like it". His watcher and first mate nodded as Bakugo walked into the forest the cool breeze of the forest reminded him of a cold ocean storm. He sighed and kept following the sound of the humming as it got louder. The pirate heard the sound of calm water flowing over rocks and moss as he saw a stream, the humming was now clear as day and he felt entranced by it. He leaned against a tree and scanned the area and then noticed a person with only half of their body out of the water as they rested in the stream, their mussel toned body was quite a sight as the figure was using their forearms to prop themselves up as they looked away from Bakugo the boys green messy and curly hair looked soft to the touch, Bakugo's eyes widened as he saw the outline of a green tail in the water he held back a gasp the boy was a siren. Another one swam up from a pool of water off to the left of Bakugo its tail was red and white with a burn on its face and two different colored eyes, "Midoriya, you might lure someone near if you keep humming" the two colored siren mentioned in a cold but calm voice "Ah right, sorry Todoroki I was just bored" Bakugo looked at the green siren, the scales on its tail would shift into a deep purple tone in the right light as he moved it slightly in the water, h had a green tattoo of some kind of magical language on it. Bakugo tried to get a closer look at it the language looked like something he had seen before, the blonde captain leaned forward moving his foot forward and snapping a twig. Todoroki shot up out of the water along with Midoriya both of them turning into their human forms, Todoroki wore a lose white shirt with a dark red pair of pants and leather strap boots, Midoriya had on a white shirt and green vest with dark green pants and strap boots. "Todoroki, we should head back to Uraraka soon shes probably worried." The green haired boy obviously didn't want to fight as he watched the taller siren take a fighting stance his half and half red and white hair getting blown a little from the soft breeze Todoroki hissed a bit at Midoriya "Not with out a fight" He turned to Bakugo's hiding spot "Show yourself!" Bakugo walked out from behind the tree "Aww i was just listening to the green one hum its cute little tune" He smirked and Midoriya backed up a bit "I wasn't humming that loud how did you-" he was cut off buy Todoroki shooting an ice shard pass Bakugo the cold blade just barely grazing his ear. "Don't even think about touching him, hes done nothing wrong to you or your crew" Midoriya looked at Todoroki and then put his hand on the two toned siren's shoulder, "Lets just leave its safer that way, we don't want to draw attention" The two looked at Bakugo then Todoroki dove into the water turning back into their siren form followed by Midoriya. As the siren went out of its human form a necklace broke off of it and landed on a near by rock swimming down into the depths. "That must lead out to the ocean" he noticed the green gem necklace and picked it up "That green siren might want this back" Bakugo thought of Midoriya and blushed a bit, "He was kinda cute I hope I see him again soon" He sighed and walked back to camp putting the necklace on.
The camp was quiet and only a few were awake drinking rum to relax after setting up the camp. Bakugo headed to his tent looking around the cozy area. He laid down on the bed and closed his eyes 'I've fallen for that sirens damn song I feel it' he grabbed at his hair as the mysterious yet alluring song played in his head again. He felt trapped, needy, and alone. He wanted someone with him someone he could hold but no matter what he knew he had fallen victim to the green siren, he hated it and wanted the tune to stop. The stories of men swimming to sea to hear the song again and drowning were real to him now, he wanted to hear it sung to him just to get it out of his head. Eventually he fell asleep as the tune faded away into nothing, leaving him alone in the darkness of his mind.
As the sun rose to welcome the new day, the crew was busy preparing to send people to scout out around the island. Bakugo opened his eyes and groggily got out of the uncomfortable bed walked out of his tent like shelter and over to Kirishima. "Good morning captain!" Kirishima dipped his head politely to his captain, "I was setting up scouting patrols for the morning" Bakugo nodded and looked at the two groups of four in each. "I'll be exploring the inside of the island let the patrols only look around it." Kirishima nodded not questioning Bakugo,as the blonde walked into the forest he listened to the sweet morning song of the tropical birds that lived on the island. He eventually found the pool of water that led into the ocean and sat on a bolder next to it he took off the necklace and held in his hand for a bit examining the other features of the accessory. It had teeth from something he'd never seen before, Bakugo held it over the pool of glistening blue water. He blinked as something jumped out of the water and reached for the necklace, startling the captain. He fell back onto the cold rock shutting his eyes and holding onto the necklace tightly, he sat up opening his eyes to find Midoriya in front of him trying to get the necklace. He still was in his siren form the his green tail shimmering from the drips of water that dripped of the scales. Bakugo tried to stand up but was pulled down by the siren "Get off me you stupid fish!" Midoriya turned into his human form to get a better grip on the strong pirate under him, Midoriya reached for his necklace "your a stupid pirate for thinking that my necklace was just an accessory, your lucky you didn't touch any water around your crew!" Bakugo raised an eyebrow letting his guard down a bit "Hah? why?" The siren placed his hand down on Bakugo's chest keeping him down, "It makes a normal human turn into a siren on contact with water." Bakugo flinched and Midoriya grabbed his necklace and put it on, "Now keep it on a down low with your crew that we're here, we wont bother you, and i don't want to fight" Bakugo relaxed being strangely comforted by the careful yet dangerous voice and sighed, "Fine but i have a request." The pirate smirked and Midoriya looked eyes with him in interest.
The two sat by the stream facing each other the aura was rather peaceful despite the tension of a fight beforehand, "I wanna see your tail for a second" Midoriya flinched and nervously turned back into a siren his tail shimmering in the small amount of sun light that the trees would let in, Bakugo ran his hand along the scales and fins carefully making sure not to harm the smaller male, "its so smooth and pretty, how fast can you go do you think?" The pirate was intrigued by the siren in front of him, he understood why people said they were like no monster you would ever see. Midoriya looked up at Bakugo "maybe from your ship to the other end of the island in a few seconds" Bakugo's eyes widened "Wow that is really fast, just like the legends say" He paused and sighed. "Midoriya" The green haired siren locked eyes with Bakugo almost shocked "That is your name right?" He nodded to the pirate before looking at the stream "what about you?" Bakugo sat up tall "I'm Katsuki Bakugo the captain of the Islands end" the pirate spoke confidently making Midoriya smile "I'll call you Kacchan" Bakugo blushed faintly at the nickname and stood up chuckling . "My crew will be back from their patrol soon i'll see you later bye, Deku" The nickname felt familiar on his tongue, It reminded him of someone he used to know but that person was lost to time as he couldn't remember their name
The two blushed now having nicknames for each other they felt as if they made a friend from a internally different world. Bakugo returned to the camp soon after the encounter with the green siren. He listened to the patrols as shared the news of one of them seeing the two colored siren swim into an under water cave under the island and that the sirens must live in the cave or on the island, He didn't show it but he became worried. "Sirens on our island huh?" Bakugo sighed "great."
