Everyone hurts, but sometimes pain is all we feel.
All we know how to feel.
Pain becomes our world.
Our home.
Our safety.
It shouldn't come to this, but it does.
We sit in darkness,
Scared.
Scared of losing.
Scared of letting go.
Scared to fight for control.
We already know who's going to win.
Maybe it's better that way.
But what if it's not?
