" Ms. Summers, there is nothing else to do. Take these pills, they will help with the sleeping and anxiety. Your skin is healing and you only have to wear this sling for a week. Other than that you're fine. Fortunately, your wolf side, even as small as it is, has healed you."
" Okay," I said looking at Rowan and smiled. " I'm fine. Now I can go home and sleep."
" Yes you can." The doctor said.
" Great," I hopped up off the examination table and grabbed my clothes.
" Not so fast," Rowan said. " Anything we should be looking out for?"
" She will have nightmares, and sometimes day terrors, that's all and all."
" Hear that? I'm fine, be a little scared, but I'm fine. Now hurry up, the guys are probably done now." I said slipping on my pants underneath the bland night gown provided by the doctor's office.
" Okay, okay," She nodded. " Thanks again doctor."
" No problem. I have to prescribe some medication for Markus."
" What medication could he possible need?"
" Well, I shouldn't really say-"
" He's my mate, it's perfectly fine."
" I'm going to prescribe some large doses of antidepressants, antianxiety, some pain killers..."
" Wait? Why does he have to take all of this medication?"
" Well I just added the pain killers, and just refilling the others..."
" You mean he's already taking this stuff?"
" Yes for several years now looking at his chart," She sighed. " He's been off his medication since the kidnapping, so he's a little unstable."
" Little unstable?"
" He'll be rough, angry, mean,"
" He's already like that."
" He'll be more...raw. Anything and everything will set him off."
" Anything sets him off," Rowan rolled her eyes.
" So let me go fill out your prescriptions and send them to the pharmacy." The doctor left the room and I slipped on my knitted turtleneck.
" Can you believe the medication he takes?"
" Yeah."
" Really?"
" He's Alpha. He's got a lot of pressure on him, plus the fact he's some type of hybrid thing and you've been hating him for the last decade, so not unreasonable."
" That's odd."
" Not as uncommon as you think," She opened the door. " My dad, hopped up on medication."
" Yeah," I followed her out of the examination room to see Damon and Markus walking out the office. " You think it's possible if Damon rides with you? I want to speak to Markus."
" Sure. And I'm guessing you two have made up?"
" Yes and no. I forgave him and everything, I'm still transitioning."
" How so?"
" Made out on your couch."
" Didn't need to know that."
" You asked."
" Forget I did." We walked to the cars and Rowan walked up to Damon in the passenger's side window and bent over, tapping on the glass.
