Between Two Worlds

Chapter 1 "Fresh Meat"

"Its time to get up" an Iphone says as the young man is awakened for his first day in his new home. Sure its only 4 walls and a door, but for this guy a hut sized dorm will be his home for the next 4 years. As he awakens to this nuscence he sighs and says,

"Damn it's already 6:30 in the morning, I feel like i've slept for only a couple of hours."

Then he stumbles to the bathroom with his head held in his hands and thinks to him self "so much to do with only an hour before class"

He splashes water on his face after he looked in the mirror at his temporary mask of an early morning.

Then he makes his way to the local Starbucks, orders a mocha frappe and sit down in one of there coushined lounging chairs to relax before class.

thats when he pulls out a picture and starts thinking deeply his old "home"...

Thats back when he was living with his ma and pa, his grand-parents. He had lived with them since he was a young boy. at 5 yrs old he moved in with them, due to his father being gone on the road all the time.

You see, he was truck driver for Wal-Mart. With him being on the road for 72 hours or more a week and his mom not around to support him, he had no way of being taken care of. So he moved to his grand-parents house to have a better life. This allowed him to be a child and go to school like the rest of us do. That also allowed him to focus on his grades so he could get to the college he's in now...

Sitting back now he's thankful as he kisses the picture of them.
