I suddenly find myself on the ground, light blue light fading out around me. I feel as if I had just taken a nice nap and was full of fresh energy.

Then I remember. Suddenly, something hugs me, and I turn to see... Silver. Out of all the trainers in the world... it had to be him? I glare at him while he pets me. Out of the blue, he stuffs a cake thingy in my mouth. I recognized it as a poke-puff and choked it down. It was much too sweet for my taste, but I ate it anyways. Acting suspicious would blow my cover. I lick the crumbs off my face, and that was a huge mistake. Taking this as a sign of loving it, he shoves another in my mouth.

I start choking on the cupcake-like treat, and Silver freaks out. Like, FREAK freak out. "ARE YOU OKAY?!?!"

My response was a fresh dose of coughing. Now I'M starting to panic. I can't shift into human. Then he'd know what I am. But why should I care? I could just knock him out, and run far away where he will never find me and everyone will think he's crazy... Then it hits me. I must be linked to this lab experiment. But, that's ridiculous. I think I'd remember something as important as escaping a lab full of crazy scientists...

A particularly painful cough brought me back to reality. I'm getting carried away in thought, in the WORST POSSIBLE TIME. I'm choking and worrying about my past? Who knew I'd die from a poke puff? That's pretty pathetic. Silver wasn't being much help, running around like a chicken with its head cut off, making weird shrieking noises too. Suddenly, I cough loudly, and the poke puff flies out of my mouth. My throat throbs from all the coughing, and I realize my heart is pounding. I stare at the mess of the garbled Pokepuff in disgust. Silver stopped panicking and stared at me. "Are... Are you okay?"

I slowly nod. I feel bad for him, I mean, he is a filthy human who doesn't deserve my compassion, but I must have scared him pretty bad. He hugs me and this time I don't glare. "I'm sorry" he whispers.

I sigh. "Es-Espeon"

•One month later•

The brown-haired trainer handed over a handful of Poke to Silver. I stick my tongue out at his Pikachu, who quickly turns away. Silver and the other dude start babbling. Now is my perfect chance but, I can't leave Silver now. I can't stay in Pokemon form much longer, but even if I could, I can't survive on pokefood for much longer. Believe it or not, that annoying, filthy human has grown on me. I chicken out and wait for him to finish. After 10 minutes I get bored and wander off. "Blas..." says a deep, booming voice, right behind me.

I whip around to see a Blastoise charging an attack, and by instinct launch a psyshock at it, and hit it on its stomach. Being pushed back a good foot, it angrily launches a hasty hydro pump, which I easily dodge. But that attack way simply a distraction. An icy cold washes over me, as a surf attack hits. As I attempt to stay afloat, gasping for a bit of air, the Blastoise slams into me, completing the attack. I flew backwards, and slammed into a tree. I couldn't see a thing. For a good few seconds, everything was a dark blur. I shake off the dizzy feeling, and launch the first attack I could muster; a psybeam. Blastoise quickly launched a hydro pump, colliding with the psychic energy. They were an equal match, both battling to overpower the other, but they remained equal strength. Dust began to kick up around them, making it impossible to see the opponent. The attacks fade out, but I can't spot Blastoise in this dust. I finally see the glint of the steel cannon, but it is too late. A jet of water, larger than myself, emerges from the cloud and my vision blackens. I can see a faint red light around me, and I realize what is happening just before I lose consciousness.

Sorry it's so short, but I wanted to publish this soon. I hope you guys and girls like the suspense (heeheehee) comment what you think will happen next. Only mew (and me. Or maybe I am mew) knows!
