Chapter 19

I woke up the next morning and Kat wasn't in my bed anymore. I looked over and she was snuggled against Matt in the other bed across the room.

I crawled out of bed and went into the bathroom to take a shower. When I came out, I got dressed in a tank top and sweatpants and my hair was in a messy braid. I was not planning to go anywhere today. Just sit in bed go on Twitter and watch Netflix all day.

I got out of the bathroom and Kat and Matt were up talking to each other on the guest bed.

"Oh hey Lisa." Kat said

"Ehhhh....hi Kat." I said tiredly

"What's wrong Lis?" Matt asked

"Nothing, I'm just tired."

"Oh. Well we were gonna go out but if you want us to stay here with you-"

"Oh, no you don't have to do that. You guys go have fun."

"Thanks Lisa." Kat said giving me a hug as she and Matt walked out the door. Kat left the door open to my room when she left so I got up to close it. When I got to the door Kat and Matt were hurrying back to my room.

"Um...Lisa on second thought we would rather just stay here if u don't mind." Kat said. She looked nervous. Is it wrong to say I was slightly suspicious?

"But you guys were just about to go out."

"Well, yea but now we just want to stay in for the day." Matt said, looking just as nervous as Kat did.

"What changed your mind."

"Nothing!" They both said simultaneously, with wide eyes and fake smiles plastered on their faces.

*cough cough*

"Who was that?" I ask turning my head to look behind them since they were blocking the doorway.

"Oh um *cough* that was just me." Matt said obviously lying.

"I'm serious Matt."

I try to move around them to get downstairs but they keep moving to block my path.

"Guys!" I say annoyed they aren't letting me through. I stop and think what will get me around them.

"Oh my gosh!" I say pointing behind them at nothing.

"What?" Matt says. He turns around to look and I slip past him while he's busy trying to figure out what is so important.

"Matt!" Kat says slapping Matt's arm.

"Sorry!" He says in response.

I walk down the stairs calling to see who is there.

"Mom! Are you there!?"

I get down the stairs and turn the corner to the hallway that leads to kitchen and living room.

"Lisa wait!" Kat yells from upstairs. I turn to see how far she is behind me. Her and Matt are both on the stairs trying to catch up but they keep stumbling and tripping on eachother.

"Oh my gosh Matt!"

"Kat stop moving in front of me!"

I turn away from them and continue walking. I get down the hallway and turn to the living room. Standing there is a guy facing the other way on his phone.

"Hello?"

"Lisa!" Kat yells, now right beside me. The guy turns around and looks at me.
