Alex's POV
To say that I was nervous would be an understatement. Currently, I'm leaning against my car in the school parking lot, waiting for Hayley to finish Science class. I don't know why I'm panicking; I've been on dates with girls before. But something about this girl makes my legs turn to jelly whenever she's nearby.
Not long after, I spotted the brunette beauty in a sea of students. She noticed me and waved excitedly, before battling her way over.
"Hey Alex!" Hayley beamed with that gorgeous smile of hers. From her jittery body language, I could see that she was excited yet nervous as fuck. Guess we both have that in common.
"Yo" I winked in reply. Her cheeks immediately flamed pink. Aww, so adorable! We started walking down the street, Hayley being a slight step behind since she didn't know where we were going. Shit, I don't even know where we're going! I improvised and kept turning corners and crossing the road, in the hopes that I'd see something date-worthy along the way. After 10 minutes of walking, nothing.
"Aleeeeex, where are we goinnnnng" Hayley whined in complaint. If it were anyone else, I would have found it annoying. But it was cute how she stretched out the words and scrunched up her face. I feel bad for making her walk this much. Suddenly, the brown haired girl grabbed my arm in excitement
"OMG LOOK ALEX ITS A FUNFAIR LETS GO PLEEEEASE" Hayley squealed and pointed over to the park, where there was indeed a funfair. The unmistakable mini roller coasters and signature ferris wheel. Eh, why not?
"Sure!" I smiled. Without hesitation she sprinted in that direction, dragging me along. For someone who was complaining about walking just mere seconds ago, Hayley can sure run fast.
The funfair was very lively indeed. It wasn't even dark, however every stall and ride was showered in colourful shiny lights, illuminating the summer afternoon further. I didn't even think that was possible. The brunette girl clutching my arm was as fidgety as a child, obviously overwhelmed by the variety of attractions.
"How about we go on that ride near that hotdog stand?" I calmly suggested. I was trying to keep my cool, but inside I was just as excited as her. Hayley nodded, and it was my turn to drag her along.

"Holy shit!" I exclaimed after stepping off of the roller coaster,offering my hand to Hayley to help her off. Both of our fringes were still pushed back from the force of the ride. We exchanged looks and laughed at each other's ridiculous hairstyles.
"Very stylish Mr Gaskarth, you should consider having a messy quiff more often" she winked jokingly
"Same goes to you Miss Williams" I winked back. I then attempted to fix my fringe back into place.
