Rachel

Noobie and I had just gotten back to the dining hall after following Keld. Well the whole reason we were there was because we followed Keld in the first place!

Keld just sat down, put something on her face, and had started eating.

Uh, was she not here like ten minutes ago? She could've eaten then!

We finally walked inside, and Keld just continued to eat.

"What happened back there? You could've eaten then!" Noobie said jumping up on the other side of the table. She just sat there for a minute. Did she fall asleep or something?

I was about to flick her myself when she suddenly turned toward us, and then something caught my eye.

"Keld, you did all that just to get glasses?" I asked kind of surprised actually. She just looked down at her feet and sheepishly answered,

"I couldn't see ok! I left so I could find these, I didn't mean to go like that, it just sorta... happened." Then she continued, "I probably look really weird and nerdy, but I don't care!"

She said all if this while still looking at her feet.

"Keld, we were just worried about you. We never thought your glasses were nerdy or weird in either world, you always looked fine the way you were." Noobie said sitting in a chair next to Keld. That was the sweetest thing she'd ever said to anyone.

We let Keld finish eating and we headed back to our room. When we walked in the room we saw Matt talking with someone.

It was Jerome.

I saw by the glint in their eyes that they had something up their sleeves.

"Hey guys, what's new?" Jerome asked casually.

"Well I found glasses, but that's about it," Keld replied clearly not liking having to share.

"While you girls were busy, Jerome here said that he and his friends would try to teach us some combat moves. Its pretty obvious that we don't normally use weapons!" Matt said while looking over excitedly.

"The only thing that's left is to pick a weapon," Jerome continued. "Matt here already chose the bow. Now what are you three up for?" he asked while gesturing toward Matt.

"Sword!" Keld yelled almost immediately after he'd finished.

"I'll go for bow as well," I said calmly.

"Then I'll choose axe to spice things up!" Noobie said. Jerome's eyes lit up at her choice. Oh that's right, Betty the diamond axe!

"I'll let the others know about your choices," he said and then added, " and I'll leave a note on the desk of where to find the training area."

When he'd left the room I remembered the boots and showed them to Keld.

"Just leave them next to my bed, they really hurt my feet!" Keld pointed and then flopped onto her bed. We all got into our beds and said goodnight.

I had just turned the light out when I heard something from outside. I went to investigate, because that's what super-sleuth Rachel does best!

I had just gone outside to see Mitch and Jerome talking quietly with each other.

"C'mon Biggums we've got to them sooner or later!" I heard Jerome whisper.

"I know just as well as you that we can't! Just not yet at least..." Mitch replied quietly.

"The more they know the better!"

"Look, even if we told them Sky's been kidnapped they'd just rush in and get themselves killed!" Mitch retorted.

Sky's been kidnapped?! I just can't believe it... No! I had to at least pretend that I hadn't overheard there conversation so that we could train and protect Sky!

I'll tell the others the news in the morning, was all I thought as I climbed back into bed.

When I'd finally gotten into bed again I only had one thought on my mind.

Sky.

I thought for a while trying to construct a plan to save him, but eventually fell asleep.
