I never Realized how great I have it here, Great friends, Great house, Great boyfriend, and I guess okay looks. It's not that I'm just UGLY, it's just I don't have the BEST looks, you know? But that's not what I need to talk about. I need to talk about the occurrences.

Present Day
"Jessica! Hey Wait Up!" said My Best friend Karen, "What's wrong Jessica?" She asked. " I... I can't talk about it... "
I replied. "Why Not?" She questioned. I would tell her but I just can't talk about it anymore. " Please tell me Jessica... " She gave me the sad puppy dog eyes like she always does to get me to tell her something. "Pretty please with sugar on top!" She nagged.
"No. I'm not telling you." I started to tear up again.
"Please, I beg of you." She said. " Okay. Fine I'll tell you. " I had finally gave in.My Brother has been missing for two years now. He should be sixteen right now and today, October 22th, is his birthday. I'm currently thirteen and am turning fourteen December 15th. My Brother went missing the 17th of February.
They never figured out what happened. Some say he left with some girl from New Jersey he had been talking to, but he left his phone and all his belongings and it says in the texts I've read a Hundred Million times that they stopped talking before that."Is it because it's his birthday?" Karen asked.
I couldn't help it. I broke down, hysterically crying. Why did it have to be Jake? Why couldn't it have been anyone else?
Karen wrapped her arms around my shoulders as to comfort me. I wiped the tears off my face, my mascara obviously messed up.
"Here, do you want a mirror?" She said as I stopped crying but still sniffling a little.
" Yes, Thank You. " I replied.
She handed me the mirror. I was right it was way down my face. I'd probably have to do my makeup all over again. I'll probably just take it all off I don't have all my stuff with me currently. I mean I am in my way to school. I'll just get my makeup wipes out of my locker when we get there from the bus stop.
As we were approaching the bus stop, I saw Blake, My crush. I immediately started blushing because I knew I looked like a total mess, so I just put the hood of my hoodie over my head so he couldn't see my face.
Me and Karen picked the farthest seat from Blake as we could. Even though we did this he still managed to notice me and the fact that I had mascara all over my face, so he ended up sneaking to the back without getting caught by the bus driver.
"H-hey are you okay?" He asked me.
" Yeah. " I replied dryly, not knowing what else to say.
"Are you sure because you don't look fine." He said.
" It's just... "
"Your brother's birthday." He cut me off. " Everyone's talking about it... And about you... "
"Oh... Great then..." I said sarcastically.
"Listen I'm sorry. So Sorry. About your brother and I know you get that a lot but it's true, no one knows what happened."
" I know no one knows what happened, but that's the problem! And no one seems to care except for me and my mother!"
I snapped. And then, he hugged me.
"I do." Whispered while still embracing me.
"I care a lot. I've cared for a long time, especially about you."
This caught me off guard, both his hug and his words.
I immediately froze up. Not knowing what to do I just sat there like the idiot I am.Then he let me go.
"Do you care about me too?" He asked."Yes." That's all I said.
He stared into my eyes for a second.
" You do? ""Yes." I repeated.
" Are you sure? Because you aren't really acting like it. "
Forgetting Karen was there, she quickly blurted out, "YES! She cares a LOT like a for a while she! Ever since the Sixth grade!"
I felt my cheeks heat up. And I gave him a quick smile and turned to Karen real quick, "Shut Up!" I loudly whispered.
" Heh, sorry. " she smiled apologetically.
I turned back to Blake.
"Um..."
" So do you want to date? " He asked.
"Yes. I mean... SURE!" I squealed.
"Okay well my friend Justin is having a party Friday, wanna come with me?"
" Yeah, of course! " I replied.
He moved back up to the front. So I turned my head back to Karen. She looked like she was about to burst and my brain felt the same way.
