Ryan Gray's POV:
I walk into the cafe, to apologize to Carrie. I see her standing behind the counter. She doesn't notice me as she's busy taking someone else's order. I walk up the counter, and she looks up. Oh boy. she's giving me the death stare. When girls give boys the death stare it's game over for us. I look around to see if Natasha's here, but she's nowhere to be seen, guess it's her day off today.
"What do you want?" she asks.
"Er... Nothing,"
"Then why are you here?"
"I'm Ryan, from the other night, I just wanted to apologize for the other night. I..I was in a bad mood and I shouldn't have taken it out on you," the words finally come out from me.
"Well, apology accepted." she smiles and I turn around to leave the cafe. "Before you go, I was hoping if I could...
"Get my number. I heard you and Natasha," I finish her sentence.
"You know Natasha?" she asks surprisingly.
"She's my student,"
"Oh, so can I get your number?"
"I'm sorry but teacher and student that's not allowed," I say.
"Student?" I'm 24 years old." she says, she raises her eyebrows at me. Well, that's me officially dead. Well if you think about I basically called her young so she should take it as a compliment.
She looks like a nice person, so I decide to give her my number, she looks down and she' smiles a bit.
"Thank you," she says and I walk about from the cafe.
By the time I get home, it's 6 o clock and I start to mark the work from the classes I had today. Luckily I only have three classes which mean I have more time to plan my lesson and more time to mark peoples work. I come across Natasha's work and recall our first meeting.
"Erm excuse me, but she said she was sorry. You don't need to be that rude." she interrupts. My attention diverts to the person who now is talking. She's around 5'8, her hair is a light brown mixed with shades of darker brown which she has in a bun. Her eyes are dark brown almost black, her lashes are long and thick and her lips are a lip shade of pink and her skin tone is between light brown and dark brown. Damn, she is beautiful. I examine her carefully before zoning out, imagining the things I would do to her. Am I getting a boner, I need to snap out. And when I finally snap out I look down at the mess the other girl has made, she's ruined my favorite shirt.
"Look what she's done," I point towards the mess.
"Look she said she was sorry and there's nothing you can do. The mess has been done," she says calmly.
"If she doesn't know how to serve, then why does she work here?" I scoff.
"Firstly, she does know how to serve, secondly she tripped over your bag and thirdly you can't blame her when it's practically your fault she tripped up the in the first place." she points towards my bag. "Please, may you kindly leave now we're closing now."
I get my bag and leave the cafe, walking down the street hopelessly, asking myself was I not good enough for Elizabeth and why my friend would do that. I've always been honest to Elizabeth and to Luke, I've never hidden anything for both of them, then why did they go behind my back and lie to me.
I'm about to cross the road when a car beeps at loud, waking me up from my thoughts, I realize that I shouldn't have lashed out to those people, I decided to go back and apologize but it's too late, they've already closed down.
I read through Natasha's work carefully, I'm pretty sure that I've read this somewhere else. I flick through the work I've already mark and pick up Veronica's sheet. They're the same. But I don't know who copied who. I know I'll go through their grades and from that, I'll make my mind up who copied who. I open my laptop and sign into my email, the English department has already sent me their grades from last year. I carefully read through the table, checking the grades of both the students, Natasha's grade's are really low compared to Veronica. Guess I know who copied who. Once finish marking the sheets I put them in my bag ready for the next lesson.
I open power-point and carefully plan the lesson 'Themes of Romeo and Juliet', As I start to type my phone starts to ping.
Hey from Carrie
Hey
What are doing?
Just planing a lesson, but I don't know what to write.
Well, what's it based on?
Themes of Romeo & Juliet but I'm pretty sure that the students already know all this stuff.
Why don't you make a quiz about Romeo and Juliet, then you'll be able to see what they already know and what they don't know?
That's a brilliant idea thank you,
It's okay
I'll text you later I'm kinda busy
Okay bye x
Bye
I start to the quiz down Word, I hope they don't kill me. I write down at least 10 question but I know that the students are going to make it out as if I wrote down 100 question, Trust I used to be that student.
I look at the time 8:45. ARE YOU FOR REAL? YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT I SPENT ABOUT TWO HOURS WRITING OUT THESE DAMN QUESTIONS? I decide to have an early night I quickly heat up some leftover pizza from last night, but I can't seem to eat. God, I'm acting like such a girl at this point. I need to get over Elizabeth.
I only get through 1 pizza, normally I eat about 3 but when people go through a breakup, we don't tend to eat as much. I put the leftover pizza back in the fridge and you back to my room and fall asleep.
