"Okay Carl, Liz, Beth, Hershel and Lori go pack up all of the stuff we need to go now!" Rick told us.

"Go?" Hershel asked. Rick nodded silently, motioning us to go, but Hershel spoke. "This is my farm Rick, I ain't going anywhere" Hershel stubbornly sat down on a porch chair. Rick sighed and glanced at all of us. We nodded going to pack.

When we got back, we saw Glenn, Carol and Maggie all in a car driving off. To where exactly? Was my thoughts.

We glanced at the second car noticing just Daryl in it. We ran over throwing the bags in the trunk and Beth, Hershel, who we convinced to leave, and Lori got in. "Where's my dad?" Carl asked Daryl who just stayed silent.

"No, no!" Lori cried, tears forming in her eyes. "Relax, he's outside the truck somewhere, you pussies" He grumbled the last part to himself even though I'm pretty sure we all heard.

"What are you waiting for? Come in!" Lori shouted to us, making room. My mind said yes, but my feet remained glued to the ground, before I knew it I took off, with Beth, Daryl and Lori calling after me.

I came to a halting stop, when something smacked right into me. I glanced behind me, seeing Carl. "Are you crazy! Why aren't you in Daryl's truck?" I asked him in bewilderment. "Me? I wasn't the one taking off for basic suicide!" He yelled back. "Well, you kind of were" I softly replied, pushing his buttons. "I only took off for you" He whispered to me, but looked down at his feet.

I heard a truck start up, noticing Daryl's truck leave. Great. So Carl, and I and hopefully Rick are the only ones left.

"Why'd you take off anyways?" He grabbed my chin to make me look into his amazing, hypnotizing blue eyes. "I honestly don't know, but I think it's because I couldn't even imagine this group without Rick and I needed to find him" I truthfully explained, as a walker came up behind Carl.

I took my gun shooting it down, causing more walkers to come over here. "Damnit" I cursed under my breath. "Okay, no time to look for my dad just come on!" He shouted, grabbing my hand and pulling me in the direction of a.. corner. Nice job Carl.

"Carl! This is a corner! We're screwed!" I told him, but I guess he had other plans.

"Come here" I did as I was told and I was hoisted up onto the mini roof of Hershel's farm. When did he get so strong?

I pushed myself up the rest of the way, grabbing for Carl, before a walker could. We both lied on the roof for a second, before standing up.

"Okay, this is good, now I'm hoping you had more to your plan.." I trailed off, praying he'd say yes. To my dismay, he of course shook his head. "Well let's get thinking.." I told him, going into a sitting position.

*Beth's POV*

Throughout the car, it was silent besides the sniffling and sobbing from Lori and I. I finally found a best friend, and this happened. And poor Lori, just lost her boy.

"Why don't y'all suck it up and stop crying, they're smart kids and sure it was completely stupid to ran off like that, but they'll get out alive, I know they will" Daryl growled, obviously sick of the crying. "Sorry, Daryl" I whispered, my voice hoarse from crying.

"You don't have to be sorry, I understand but at least cry softer?" Daryl joked, earning a smile from Hershel and Beth but nothing from Lori.

"You think this is funny?" Lori yelled. "I just lost my son and husband! At the same time, and you're cracking jokes!" Lori fumed at him, and if steam could come out of her head like in cartoons, it would be.

"I lost both my parents at the same time, when I was just a little boy, I know how you feel!" Daryl shot back, making my flinch at his harsh words and tone. Lori remained silent.

*Rick's POV*

I stood at all the walkers burning around on the bottom of the barn.

"Hey look! The barn wasn't on fire a few minutes ago, now it is! I bet Rick's in there!" I faintly heard an all too familiar female voice exclaim.

"Good thinking!" A boy's also familiar voice said back to her. Were they crazy? Why weren't they in a car already leaving?

I glanced out the open space at the top and looked in the direction the voices came from. Sure enough, Liz and Carl were on top of Hershel's house shooting down walkers.

There was at least 70 walkers between, I knew we'd never get through. This was it.

But I spoke to soon, to see Carl and Liz had jumped down, and were making their way through the crowd, by a path they made.

"Just go! Go! I'll be okay here! Please just leave!" I yelled to them from above, they glanced up for a second and they continued running to the barn.

Seconds later they were with me. "We couldn't leave, we don't know how to drive!" Carl cheekily replied. "Son, y-" I got cut off by Liz. "We know if it was an emergency we would but to be totally honest I'm not sure how the group would survive without you so we knew we had to get you" I smiled at her. It's nice to know people in the group would actually risk their life for me. "I mean you risk you're life for us all the time, and it wasn't a big deal" She added.

"Well come on! We can jump out here and get to the car easily" I told them, they nodded. Carl ran off but Liz stayed behind. "Thank you for coming over here and risking your life. You're a strong girl" I told her. She smiled back at me going over to the window.

We made it to the car safely, with me in the front seat, Carl in the passenger and Liz in the back. "So do you know where the group went?" Carl asked me. I nodded. We all agreed if we ever split up, go to the highway.
