Dragon ball z: Time Travel mix up

I simply placed my meat down on the ground and turned to look over at my team mates. They seemed to not have been damaged during the attack, though little stains of blood could be seen on their gloves and boots.

" Like I said before, We will not help you murder a race of innocent creatures."

Tremo stomped over to Hoshi and I, his face softened slightly as he sighed and sat down beside the fire.

" Do you really think any of us want to do this?" He asked, taking Hoshi and I by surprise. We had thought for sure that he would have scolded us.

Hoshi and I shook our head In response.

" We only do this to survive." Kasei added, sitting down beside Tremo.

I ripped a chunk of meat off of the beast and handed each member of our team one. Kalo sat down a beside Hoshi while Jeice sat beside me.

There was silence as we all sat around the fire, eating.

" This is really good you guys. Better than that disgusting slop they serve us on Frieza's ship." Jeice complimented.

" Thanks." Hoshi replied, her mouth full of meat.

Silence filled the air again and I shifted uncomfortably on the ground. I wasn't sure what to talk about and I hated the complete silence.

" So how long have you guys been on this ship?" I asked, looking from one of my team mates to the other.

" I've been here for almost a year and a half, mate." Jeice replied, stretching and looking over at me. " I've been with this team for about a year of it."

" I've been here for 5 years. I was recruited about the same time as Kalo and we have been on the same team ever since." Kasei replied, turning to look over at Kalo, who nodded in agreement."

" Wow you have been here for 5 years?" I asked, dumbfounded. I hadn't expected them to be here so long.

" Well that's nothing compared to the captains amount of time here." Kalo grumbled.

I looked over at Tremo who seemed to be deep in thought.

" How long have you been on Frieza's ship Tremo?"

Tremo looked up at me and thought about that for a moment.

" almost 20 years. I was recruited when I was very young."

I tilted my head to the side at Tremo's response. Wow almost 20 years? I couldn't imagine staying in this place for 20 years. Actually I couldn't even stand being there for a day.

"Wow that is a long time!" Hoshi almost shouted, nearly choking on the piece of meat she was chewing on.

Tremo shrugged. " You do what you gotta do."

The rest of the night was filled with meaningless chatter. The topics changed from favorite foods, to battle strategies and such.

" Well I'm going to go to sleep. Hunting can take a lot out of you." Hoshi yawned as she got up and starting walking several feet away from the fire. There was a particularity soft patch of grass on the other side of the field and Hoshi had every intention to use it as a bed.

One by one my team mates said good night and walked off to find a comfortable place to sleep, until Jeice and I were the only one's still awake. We chatted for a while after the others went to bed and I nibbled on the rest of the meat, although I wasn't really that hungry anymore.

" You and Hoshi don't have to kill the inhabitants of the planet if you don't want to. Kasei,Tremo, Kalo and I will take care of it. I know how you feel. When I first came here I was a lot like you. I absolutely refused to kill the innocent people on the planet's we were sent to plunge. Although my captain leader of my team at that time would have done of that. He threatened to tell Lord Frieza about my cowardice so I had no choice but to kill." Jeice said suddenly, changing the subject from colors to this sadder topic.
