"Richard?" his mother asks "um, hello mum, what are you doing here?" he asks letting go of me. "well I came to watch your match and i was going to congratulate you and Eddie." she said looking at me with suspicion. "um can we talk in private?" Richard says and Emmy Eddie and I walk into our rooms. "who is that girl and why did she walk into Esther's room?" she asks angrily "her name is Miranda and she Esther, she's eddies twin, mum they found Esther." "oh how nice for them and obviously you, and are you two together?" "yes mum she's my girlfriend" "and why did I not know this sooner?" " because I didn't really feel the need, although she told me I would have to soon." he said painting me in a better light. "well I would like to meet her if you don't mind" "ill go get her." he said walking to my door "let me bring you up to speed, your my girlfriend and you begged me to tell my mum about us and my last name is whiteton" he whispered and then I nodded and we walked out holding hands. "Miranda, it's lovely to meet you." she said "its a pleasure to meet you mrs.Whiteton" I say with a smile on my face "oh so your an American" "yes" "how wonderful, if you don't mind me asking where did you graduate from college?" "mum" "Richard it's a perfectly valid question, I graduated from Yale" "really, what rank and for what purpose?" "I was top of my class, with honors and valedictorian, I studied to be a teacher." "you parents must be very proud, how many offers did you have?" "mum, please." Richard begs. "well I'm sorry if I would like my son to date a decent girl for once instead of those skanks. not that I think you are dear but you can never be to sure." "no I completely understand my mom does the same thing to my brothers." "Richard keep this one around she's a good egg, you have my blessing." she says with a smile on her face "yeah she is." he says with a smile on his face " when will you be home?" she asks "when do I have to be home?" "you have until this Thursday because your aunt Matilda is coming." "Ill be home on Thursday, goodbye mum." "goodbye Richard, it was lovely meeting you miranda keep my baby boy in line for me." "I will mrs. whiteton, goodbye." and then she left.
"So I'm your girlfriend?" I ask "I'm sorry but it's the only way I could think of, but and I know we just met each other but I do want you to be my girlfriend, what do say?" "yes." I say and then we kiss and I can fell him smiling which brings a smile to my face. "what you told my mum, was that true or did you make it up?" "no it was all true" "I swear your a beautiful perfect angel." he says looking into my eyes and we kiss again." hey Eddie Emmy you can come out now "you two should just get a room" Emmy says "Emmy, do you even know that means" I say "they should not get a room, you are not aloud to get a room Richard." Eddie says almost bursting "I know what it means, I'm not 5" Emmy says. "Ok then" Richard says."I'm bored." Emmy says "yeah me too." I say "what can we do?" Richard asks "I don't know ask Emmy" Eddie says " if Miranda will help me make something you boys can go off into the woods for a couple of hours." she suggests "I'm fine with that, you boys leave... like now and don't come back until 9." i say trying to push them out the door "already trying to get rid of us, what a good girlfriend." Richard says turning around to kiss me in goodbye and then they finally leave.
