Chapter 2:

I walk into the kitchen already hungry. "Grumble," I hear my belly say. "It's already 8:00 am so I don't have much time. I guess I could eat cereal for breakfast. I rush to finish and head to work. As I walk to the Big Star's Cafe, I get another text from Jessica.

"Yo bestie! Just wanted you to know that I'm coming to Big Star's in a bit with my boo and someone special that you'll like! 😜😘"

I rolled my eyes and said, "You know what I'm gonna say but fine. Just this once."

"Thanks! And maybe you guys can have something amirite? 😏😉" she replied.

"Stop seriously!" I texted angrily and annoyed but she had already left the convo so there was no point.

Now that I know they're coming, what should I make? Ooo how about...

30 Minutes Later

"Ding!" I hear the doorbell. It's Jessica, Mike (her bae) and... Blake. I rushed with excitement, almost tripping over my feet and opened the door.

"Surprise!" Jessie exclaimed. Blake and I both stare at each other with shock and other multiple mixed emotions.

"I..." I didn't know what to say. Just shocked is enough. I didn't want him here but I was also glad to see him after a while. Our past wasn't just about bullying, it also had another big problem that started it all.

"Come on you guys! It's been years since you've talked about it. You might as well make up now," Jessie stated and rolled her eyes, while I give her a dirty look. "Okay, I'm just gonna leave you guys for a few minutes while you guys fix your issues," Jessie said, then walked away with Mike.

"You know, I hope they get married someday." I hear Mike whisper as Jessica starts to giggle.

Blake and I walked for a bit then stop by a water fountain. I really wish he didn't.

"So..." Blake tries talking.

"Yeah?" I say.

"You know, the past is the past. And we should really forgive and forget."

"Forgive and forget?"

"Yeah, why not?"

"Do you even remember what you did to me? What you did in front of the whole school? I couldn't even show my face again! That's why I became homeschooled!" Because I loved you and you went behind my back.

"You don't understand it's because— "Stop! You've done enough to ruin my life and I don't want to hear more!" I interrupt him then get a bad and blurry flashback.

5 Minutes Later

"Abby?...Abby..! ABBY!" I hear. I open my eyes and see blake holding me by his lap.

"W..w..what...what happened?" I ask,

"You fainted and everyone is here to see if you're okay." Answered Blake.

I try to talk, but I feel like I'm trapped, paralyzed. The words couldn't escape my mouth "I want to go home please," I say pleadingly.

"I'll take you home." Stated Mike.

"Isn't it better if I- "No! Stop. You've done enough." I interrupt Blake.

"Let's go, Mike," I say as he helps me walk to his car.

10 Minutes Later

"Thanks for dropping me off Mike," I say, "You're like a brother to me."

"Yeah, and you're like a pesky little sister to me that isn't pesky." He said as we both giggle. I give him a hug then leave.

"Don't forget about the hike tomorrow!" He reminded me.

"Don't worry, that's what I'll be thinking about all night," I said knowing that that's not the only thing I'll be thinking about.

"Heh," he said, "Bye!"

"Bye." I wave.

As I come inside I yell, "I'm Back!" and I hear my brother reply,

"Shut-up I'm playing Mining Simulator !"

*sigh* As you can see, this is my life. I live with my annoying brother and an aunt that is always sleeping. At least I can go hiking tomorrow and forget about my home problems. I should go pack now. I wonder about what should I take.
