I was alone in the cabin. My parents were gone. Vanished. They went out for the night, leaving me to myself and my apprehensions. It was peaceful at first, being isolated in the cabin, but that was until I heard a noise. The slight rustling of bushes. I was confused. What could have caused this racket? The roar of the wind perhaps? Or maybe a harmless hare? However that was before I heard a familiar sound of laughter... children's laughter.
Hesitantly, I walked toward the door, anxiety overpowering my emotions. Nevertheless, when I approached the brown doorway, I came across something I didn't expect. In the distance, a large spectral, menacing face looked back at me. The figure of the person, if it was even that, was beyond words I could express. It was as if he, or she, was a new found supernatural creature. Something uncommon. Something... extramundane.
It was tall and heavy looking, with no hair, or face for that matter. A black suit covered its slender body and their arms almost reached the muddy floor. Besides the figure stood a little girl; perhaps the age of twelve. She was holding the hand of the creature, the dress she was wearing was light blue with white cuffs and had a blank expression on her face.
CRASH! My head whipped around to see a shattered photo frame on the floor, along with others colliding with their awaiting death. Horror, shock and fear circulated through my veins. Suddenly, the lights in the sitting room started to flicker as the wind howled like a wolf.
BANG! The entrance of the cabin slammed open. Yet the featureless figure and little girl were still stood where they were only moments ago,but this time they were pointing in my direction. So I did the only thing my mind could comprehend... I walked towards them.
*time skip*
A fortnight past. I watched as my parents whimpered and cried over my severed corpse. Although, I couldn't bring myself to care. I just stood there. Emotionless as I sung the ode I've become customary to...
"Slender man, slender man. He won't let you say goodbye. Slender man, slender man. You most certainly will die."
