Skipping A Grade

At first, skipping a grade seemed like a reward, an honor. A part of her thought she might even be presented with a certificate of some sort. But when she walked into the classroom, she realized she didn't know anyone at all. She felt nervous that she started shaking a bit, everyone was looking at her odd, she spoke up and said "Hello Mr. Stephans, my name is Emily and I'm new to this class."
"Show me your schedule." He said. She handed him her her schedule and he told her too take a seat next too some guy named Adym.
Emily's Pov
I'm really starting too regret moving up a grade, I don't know anyone, I mean during lunch I'm going to be with my friends but I won't have them in any classes and I won't graduate with my best friend or my cousin. But I know why I skipped a grade, I wanted to make my mama proud and junior year was too easy for me. I went to my second period of the day, which was Algebra 1, I showed my teacher my schedule and she told me to take a seat anywhere I wanted, I looked around and seen the same guy I had last period. Adym. I walked up to him and asked "Is this seat taken?" He looked up at me , smiled and said "No you can sit here." I smiled and sat down. He looked at me and said "Are you new to the school?" I looked up and said "No , I just skipped a grade." "Let me see your schedule." I handed my schedule to Adym and he smiled and said "Well looks like we have every class together, so I'll walk you to every period and you can sit with me." He handed me my schedule and I put it back into my bag. I looked at him and just smiled, "I like your pineapple tattoo on your neck." He chuckled and said "Thanks." I just kept smiling like an idiot. I've always noticed Adym around school, he's basically "popular" cause of his looks, his following on social media, and he's on the football team. I've always had this small crush on Adym, I've never thought I would be able to talk to him so maybe skipping a grade wasn't so bad after all.
