MISTAKES
                          Out of all the mistakes that I made,
The one that still haunts me,
Is loving you.
                          I thought I knew you,
And I thought that you would never hurt me.
I thought that we would last forever.

                          That was all silly of me.
I was naive back then.
I shouldn't have let you in.
                          You fooled me with your veneer.
Making me believe the underneath was just as perfect.
But it was ugly and horrid.
                          And nothing can ever retrieve what you took from me.
Nothing can ever make me feel the same again.
Nothing can ever make me love again.
